X versus Y sign up (name'll prolly change)

Ok, time for a kooky/serious RP.

[Story]
There is an Infinite number of Universes, each stretching on for Infinity and lasting approximately an Eternity. They are all connected in an unfathomable dimension by The Ring, a plain looking circle with an Infinite points of connection, from which the ethereal and sometimes physical points of the individual Universes start and spread outward for Infinity times Eternity.

Inside The Ring’s center is unimaginable power. We’re talking the ability to create a whole new Universe, or destroy said Universe, or condense all Universes into one big mess of a place, or travel freely between Dimensions, or…well basically have more then godlike powers. No one has ever entered the Center…

Enter…well, for now I’ll go by Brian’s example… The Y, a dastardly organization that has plotted since the beginning of Time to gain access to the power the Center. For countless Eternities though, they have been thwarted by The X, an organization that resides on the very outskirts of The Ring and monitors the goings on of the Universes while simultaneously protecting the center.

Since their enemies are willing to utilize any person from the Infinite, both sides have rigorously chosen (and in some cases, drafted) soldiers for their respective causes. The Y uses constant guerilla tactics, going backwards and forwards in Time and Space, causing havoc by weakening the lines connected to The Ring. The X respond by sending their operatives to preserve peace and equilibrium, and this has gone on, and will go on, forever and always.

Now it’s our turn.
[/Story]

Yep, that’s it. We’re all various X (name pending) soldiers, pulled from various Universes and Times.

We’ll each have a stable of characters that can constantly grow, and whenever we start a new Chapter/Mission, we’ll decide who fits best.

I think it’ll be best if we keep it kinda time specific for the Mission. So, for example, I won’t allow a robot to go around blasting the crap outta Feudal Japan, but a samurai with fire breath, yeah, I can swing wit that.

The characters can be anything, and everyone can go wild as long as you keep the power level below…hmm, demi-god or SS Goku.

My starting stable is currently…
Spout - A River spirit trapped in a human body that can control any liquid
X329BB - The soul of a ruthless assassin transplanted into a soulless robot killer
Jude- A half Demon/ half Angel with a sword, an axe, flight, and super strength
(Unnamed) - A staff master (Killik on crack on speed on steroids would be his bitch)
(Unnamed) – A werewolf

And I’m sure I’ll get more crazy ideas. And if all else fails, we can pull from past RPs, since they’re part of the Ring also.

So, now all I/we need is proper names for X and Y, plus signups. Get to it.

Dante, reincarnation of Etrigan, First Among The Fallen - A half-mad channeller capable of near god-like feats of mass destruction.

Yngwie Malmsteen, the Knight of Ghosts and Shadows - Extremely high-tech swordsman who uses an amazing variety of wargear in battle.

Virgil - Nanotech supersoldier, a la Deus Ex. An infiltrator-type who uses explosives and small arms.

Shosuro Hakuyo - Scorpion Clan ninja, an assassin where Virgil is only a spy. Probably the weakest out of the five.

Number 47 - Euthanatos Master of Entropy, who can manipulate chaos and probability and raw entropy to suit his bidding. His powers manifest as incredible luck and entropic corruption.

The first three are characters I've played in the past. The last one is an NPC I had for one of my own games...

Oh, nothing much, just the near-instant obliviation into nothingness of whatever unfortunate object Number 47 chooses to delete from existence.

I'll come up with some characters soon. This sounds pretty interesting actually.
