Alright, that is a much better attitude. Acceptance is the first step they say.

The only cure is your recommended dose of, "Not reviving old, dead threads". That will get you on the path of goodness once more. Also your grammar is impressive, so you have hope of quickly getting beyond 'New' status and into 'Regular' status. Also, you don't seem to be online very often... That will be a strike against you in the long run, but it could work out fine in more open, Casual type RPs.

Hey, in a year I hope to have at least 500 posts (I could just make a bump thread),
and hopefully I wouldn't be a noob any more.........................................I deserve to be shot, don't I?

Forever Zero 05-23-2004 02:17 PM

Don't make a bump threads, the Mods hate Bumps, and it's nothing more then Spam, and most of us hate Spam too.

Also being new doesn't have anything to do with the number of posts you have, it has to do with the level of respect you get from others. Lots of posts just means you have no life, and you spend too much time here. Oh look, my post count is near 5000 in about 6 months...

Thus, once the "Veterans" here have come to respect you for intelligent posting, consistent grammar, and good roleplaying, then you will get upgraded in the eyes of others from "New" to "Regular"... Until then, you are either a "New" who has hope of reaching higher ranks, or you are a "n00b" who is hopeless and worthy of nothing more then ridicule and scorn. You have upgraded beyond "n00b" into "New" (At least in my eyes, but IHMN is much harder to convince, as is Dante to a degree), so you have potential... Just don't screw it up and fall back into the "n00b" trap.

What would I be rated as about now? My confusion seems to take over in moments like these and I have to know for some reason.

Forever Zero 05-23-2004 02:37 PM

"Regular" at the minimum, a "New Veteran" at the maximum I would say. Maybe I should make some sort of chart...

BMHadoken 05-23-2004 02:45 PM

I'd say Regular, there are really no 'New' Veterans...speaking of Veterans though, where's Ecurt, Celes and Mr. V?

Forever Zero 05-23-2004 02:51 PM

Celes is taking a break. Lots of stuff in her regular life were/are keeping her offline.

Ecurt has vanished without a trace...

Mr. V still posts in other places, but he hasn't joined an RP in a long time.

And I would consider Mr. V and Ecurt to be "New Veterans" in that they weren't around in the TWC days...

lazy man 05-23-2004 02:54 PM

Yeah, regular sounds about right. Being 15 means a lower level of thinking, so it could probably be a while before something remarkable happens. Oh well, as long as I'm IHMN's good side I'm happy.

IHateMakingNames 05-23-2004 02:58 PM

Ecurt still post. Go check the Pilot RP thing.

Forever Zero 05-23-2004 03:00 PM

Ahh, well there he is. I haven't seen him post A. In any other RPs, or B. Anywhere else on the board, so I thought he had vanished. I just wasn't paying enough attention to that RP...
