Character Opposits.

OK, mabye i just look too much into things, but i noticed that every character in 8-bit has a similar other/opposite.

First, Fighter and Black Belt. They are both very strong, and very stupid. Also, Fighter uses all kinds of armor and swords and BB uses nothing but his body.

Next, Black Mage and White Mage. They both feel that they need to use their powers, even if they have different reasons. BM kills and WM heals.
(That one was obvious.)

Finnaly, Thief and Red Mage. This one is a little more complicated. They both use some form of "paperwork". RM changes his personal abilities and Thief changes the laws that govern others.

OK, now you can start the "you need to get a life" posts.

Also, Like BM, WM treats BB like an idiot.

One more thing.
BM and fighter were the first 2 person party, now their "opposites" WM and BB are the new 2 person party.

One could also see the dramatic foils of two Mage/Melee (Wizards & Warriors) groups forming into two separate groups, thus playing dramatic foil unto dramatic foil.

It could then be argued that RM and Thief are also identical foils, due to their love of exploiting the rules.

Thus, we have three dramatic foils within three foiled groups two of which are foils only to the first and second parties respectively, and the third foil which is parallel to neither of the first two parties that serves to elaborate the identity of the more preliminary foil.

I'd just pair them up as partners in crime. *smiles*

Yeah, I'm one of those people that don't look too deep into a comic....

It keeps me sane....

Well saner....

Well...in a different kind of insanity.

threads like this should all be labeled with the big label "**************OVERTHINKING****************"

it is an old game and a comic strip and as most games, they have the true classes and the demi classes. In this case the true ones are BB, BM, WM. Thief is BM+BB, fighter is BB+WM and red mage is BB+WM+BM.
