The "What was that thing called?" thread
I can't remember the name of them, if they had one, but does anyone remember those color-in pictures that were fuzzy on the black and blank on the white, and you had to color them in with markers?
I'm trying to work it into a joke for a review but fuck I can't remember it. |
I remember those.
No idea on the name though. They were like the next evolution of the paint by number shit. |
You mean these?
|
They had a special brand name that wasn't just "Fuzzy Velvet Coloring Posters" but I can't remember it either. I remember buying those when I was a kid and I had a really fun time with them. For one thing, you couldn't accidentally color outside the lines, that was the point of having them be white spaces on black velvet. Plus it taught you the paint by numbers thing. Plus the colors were really vivid since they were on black velvet.
Darned if I can remember the brand name, though. There was at least one brand name and then probably generic ones besides. |
Black velvet coloring posters sounds close enough.
|
RoseArt has a line of them that are just called Fuzzy Posters. Most arts and crafts stores would have them.
|
Yeah, I seem to remember the brand on most of the ones I had was RoseArt.

Can we pitch in with questions of our own?
http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/8607/copier.jpg This. What is this called? I know what it is--it's a copier sort of thing that uses carbon paper--but I can't find the name or the brand anywhere on it. |
Ahhhhh crap I totally remember those but I have no idea what they were called.
|
For the OP, Yahtzee refers to them as "fuzzy felt," but I don't know if that's what you're looking for.
For Kat, I called mine a piece of crap. It lasted like two weeks before the rubber pulled because of how hard you had to press to get the picture to come through. Never was the same after that. |
