And THEY FUCKING TAUNT YOU WHEN YOU LOSE AND YOU RAGE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD that when you finally encounter them again, there is such sweet, sweet justice in the pounding you give them...

Also, I moved all my important stuffs off Platinum and have DELETED FUCKING EVERYTHING (just the rest of the save data really) so I can start a new playthrough. I have been contemplating a Let's Play (as if we REALLY need another one) however, as this is a physical copy and not a ROM, I don't really have any way of getting screenshots. I could do a whole thing where I pull backgrounds and such off the interwebs, and just do dialogue with little avatars (a la GC's 1st Gen LP) but that seems like too much work for a lazy guy like me. Thoughts?

I'm going to be blunt: Pokèmon Let's Plays are horrible, time comsuming things. They will make you loathe anything you may have loved about the game. Besides, we have one going, and two on hiatus right now. You'd need something uber-special to set a new one apart.

Like, what, Pokemon Platinum, a horrible sense of humor, plenty of free time in the evenings- You know what, I'm not even gonna go there. I would quit within a month. I'm WAY too lazy to even undertake something of this suckitude. It takes a special kind of person to do it man, and Token, you horrible little bastard, you're that special kind of person. To a lesser extent, GC... but yeah.

If I'd wanted to use a rock type I'd have pulled the Golem out of my bank and used that. As it stood, I was mostly just getting screwed over by her Miltank's Scrappy ability and held Lum Berry taking all the fun out of my Gastly and Attract taking all the fight out of my male Riolu. The whole thing was mostly just a learning experience about being prepared for the G/S/C version of a fight when HG/SS is a whole different ballgame. It was not a mistake I made again.

TL;DR Whitney is the only gym leader that I actually had to try against and such insolence infuriates me.

Well, I had a Rash Haunter with Shadow Punch and a Croconaw with Bite so he pretty much folded like a bad hand when I took him on.

I had a Zubat. That I was raising for a Crobat. I actually had to leave the Gym and evolve him... but goddamn his Gengars just love to spam Shadow Ball the whole match... raping anything that didn't have stupid high Sp. Def and a resistance to Ghost.

I pulled a level 14 Stantler out of storage and made it use hypnosis and astonish until the Gengar was out of the way. The only thing he could use to hurt my stantler was sucker punch, so as long as I only used astonish when he was asleep, my stantler was safe.
