So how's our Black/White reservation status? The Gamestop near me has almost 80% Black versions reserved so I went with white for the trades. I have no idea what else is different between the versions though.

So after taking a break from 4th gen I decided to play something that's a little different, Pokemon Green. What makes it "different"? Here's the dialogue that appears when you interact with the Pallet Town sign:

So, Black and White are hitting Japan on Thursday, and this is the most excited I've ever been for a game, for one big reason: the Pokemon.

There are no old Pokemon in the game until after you beat it. Do you know what this means? Caves without Geodude and Zubat. Seas without Tentacool and Magikarp. YOUNGSTERS WITHOUT RATTATA. Isshu is a beautiful world.

As for the new Pokemon, almost everything revealed recently has been consistently awesome.

He will rape your dreams and be chill the entire fucking time. In fact, up until this weekend, every single picture of him was just chilling the fuck out and being asleep. He has his own, much creepier rendition of the battle music. And he will fuck your shit up.

You'll notice I said Mushabatman was only the second creepiest. Why? Because fucking Sarcophaghost.

Fucking christ. He's got Smogon people pissing themselves already. This creepy son of a bitch will do to the metagame what Glen Beck does to intelligent thought. Go ahead. Attack him. Your ability becomes "Mummy." As does the ability of everything that touches anything else with Mummy. Rain Dish? Gone. Drizzle? Gone. Your Scizor's precious Technician? FUCKING GONE. And he even helps out his bros. Lead with this guy. He takes a hit, the opponent gets mummy. Switch into Slaking. Opponent attacks, Slacking gets mummy, and proceeds to rape everything without having to rest every other turn.

Jesus fuck.

That does seem like a neat ability.


While a few of the new pokemon are neat, a fair number seem pretty stupid. Like whatever this is:

Because at first I was thinking I'd only enjoy it if I could read it, but then I realized that I skipped as much of the long-ass text in DPPt as I could, so...

*Looks up ways to import this mofo* Any tips? Also, suggestions for version? So far I've found playasia with the game for $65, which I'm totally willing to pay, but being a cheap bastard I have to ask if anyone found it cheaper >.>

Dunno where to import, but go with White. It has Zekrom and Jellybaby.

Most of them don't look that bad. Probably one of the better generations, IMO.

The tall squirrel looks like a Showbiz Pizza character from Hell, though.
