I actually wanted to ask about this water/rock combo. I used Kabutops for funsies back in Gen 1 and he was Water/Rock and he seemed to get his face smashed by almost everything. Is this combo really that bad or was I just using him against the wrong stuff?

Edit - I looked at the wrong pokemon.

They are opposing. For one, the sprites are the same size (Things tend to evolve to bigger) and they have a big Hitmochan/Hitmolee vibe. Base stats wise, the first is a tank and the second is a physical sweep. There is little sense in those being evolving stats, since he'd lose 45 base HP, which is huge.

Well the Nageki/Dageki group looked like the opposing sides combo so I wasn't sure. I guess this game has two opposing fighter combos in it then?

Well, I was wrong.

Nageki/Dageki was what I initially looked at. I didn't really read the pokemon names, and just assumed it was them based on the question.

Kojondo definitely evolves from Kojofuu.

Not sure, I just threw him in for the fun of it and he seemed to look the best of all the water pokemon.

Okay good, because I was really getting more of a Mankey/Primeape vibe from that group.

Well that's why I picked the turtle thingy too. I'm just a little worried about its dual type.

(2x) Weak to: Electric, Fighting, Ground
(4x) Weak to: Grass
(1/2): Normal, Ice, Flying, Poison
(1/4): Fire

Doesn't seem horrible, maybe not the best though.

Of the new pokemon:
Grass type -> 20
Fire type -> 16
Electric type -> 11
Fighting -> 16
Ground type -> 12

It's not safe to be a rock turtle.....

Also I wish the designs on the new fire, grass,and water monkeys were cooler looking. I wanted to add them to my monkey team with Primape and Infernape. But the new fire monkey looks almost like a Chimchar off-shoot and I'm not even sure why it's there.

I think they started running out of ideas for stuff. There's the 3 monkeys, and the 4 legendary fighting types, and then there are the 3 genie things with almost the exact same sprite. All of which seem to lack any creativity.
