So, my Panthers just broke your bracket.

I was fortunate enough to be able to be playing for the Northern Iowa Panthers in the Pep Band as they brought in the biggest upset of the NCAA tournament, and took out #1 seed of #1 seeds, Kansas.

Let this thread be the NCAA thread.

I'm actually a student at KU so yes, you did indeed "break my bracket".

Needless to say I was disappointed by the outcome. I started watching the game with the mind that I'd join in for the Rock Chalk chant at the end, but that wasn't to be the case.

I am just hoping that this will help my buckeyes get to the final four. They are still having a tough game with GT though.:sweatdrop

...I watched the end of that UNI game live.
It was pretty freakin' amazing. (Though nearly ruined by a series of exceptionally bullshit calls by the refs in the minute or so before Farokhmanesh hit that crazy three-pointer.)

You're one lucky guy to seen it live, Fenris.

We can't be friends. Sorry.

Seems like the year for upsets with Old Dominion beating Notre Dame, Ohio beating Georgetown, and Murray beating Vanderbelt on top of the UNI victory.

I'm just glad I stayed out of the March Madness this year, my wallet would be decisively empty.

It's okay, we broke my bracket too.

Ali's shot was about 30 feet directly in front of me, since I was on the floor with the band.

Oh my effing god. Yeah, I screamed and jumped and all that wonderful wonderful stuff. When they fouled him later, I vocally announced, "They just picked the wrong guy to foul."

Sorry Khy, but this is history in the making for my school. I can't help but feel excited. What a great game.

Don't forget about Villanova almost losing to Robert Morris. I was rooting for RMU hard. That would have been another major upset. This tourney has been nuts!

And Fenris, is there room on the bandwagon for one more? :D I almost never pay attention to the NCAA, but this is a made-for-tv movie in the making.

[Edit] And you know there's some bubbly office tech out there, filling out her bracket not because she has any interest, just because it's the thing to do. "Hmm, Kansas is boring. *scratch* Georgetown? I don't know where that is. *scratch*"

Yes there is- we need all the support we can get man. It was frankly intimidating being in OK city on Saturday. The Jayhawks practically bought out the whole town. Never seen so much blue in my life.

With A&M knocked out by Purdue, I am forced to resort to rooting for Baylor.

They're a feel-good story, though, so I'm fine with that.
