They're starting? 2 years after Persona 4 came out, and they're STARTING? This better be an astounding follow-up.

Aaaaaaand... That's it as far as news goes.

So discuss the rest of the Persona series too I guess.

Things the game needs:

The way the turn system works should be closer to the way it is in Nocturne. I like getting my ass kicked.

There need to be personas with immunities to status effects and stuff, sort of like with the elements.

I need to be able to be a guy and date guys.

Maybe have the little social stat boosting things as minigames? Do poorly and you just get the regular boost, but do well and get an extra boost? Just so long as the minigames are fun.

Other than that: Keep doing what you're doing guys!

Yeah, I can't really imagine that being satisfying.

Dude, not being able to "spend a long while" with Kanji is quite possibly the biggest flaw with Persona 4.

I personally never got the vibe that Kanji was gay, merely that he was having a disconnect with the things he actually liked to do and what was required of him to like according to society.

I can see where it could be argued he was gay, especially after the bathhouse, but he really just struck me a normal teenager (who fights evil shadow creatures with a folding chair) struggling with society's norms and expectations and his own reactions to how he feels everyone might reactions to what he really likes. To me the bathhouse just represented his fear of how other might perceive him if they really new him.

IE Just like every conforming teenager ever. At the most I might say Kanji might turn out to be bisexual because of his reactions to Naota, who is arguably having the same exact problem.

I know 4 is supposed to be nothing short of amazing, but for some reason, I never picked it up when I had the time, and now I lack the time. :sweatdrop

At any rate, it's clean to the point of boring, but you know the religious wingnuts will picket it if there's so much as a manhug in there. Frankly, I'd love to see them try to portray a two-sentence text reward as Satanic and evil, but then they'd also have the entire demons and Tarot thing to work with... hmmm... I'll have to think about this more. :sweatdrop

I also thought there was a bit of sexual confusion, rather than just fear of how he was perceived, but the game does admittedly do its damnedest to convince you that no Kanji isn't actually gay. He was just my favorite character in the game and I wanted to date him dammit!

I just bought Persona 4 today.

This better be good you fuckers.

They reneed to stream line the compendium or simplify it quite a bit, me thinks. Why have random move allocation to fused personas when you'll just be there redoing it until you get what you want?

And yes, Kanji is awesome.
