Bosses that make you quiver in fear
 

I say a esay bosses section, so let's talk about the opposite here.

What is a boss in any RPG that to this day still makes you quiver in fear?

For Me it's Kingdom Hearts: Ansem in Hollow Beaston. I had that FMV before the fight memorized because I fought him so many times. I think I ended up fight him at least 7 times before I finally beat him. GDamn he was I think the toughest boss that I fought.

What are youre opinions?

I've never really had much trouble at all with any bosses. And no, I don't go uber before hand. Wiegraf/Velius took a long time to beat, but it wasn't hard. It was Hamedo-Win, No Hamedo-Loss. No skill involved. I would love to find a game that actually has a *hard* boss, not a boss that is impossible/you need to get lucky/"follow these steps to win everytime!"

The end bosses for the .hack series can be kinda rough if you don't know what you're doing... but even so, they aren't that hard either... :confused:

Does it have to be an RPG?
Because Nightmare from Devil May Cry was a beast...

But, if it has to be an RPG, then Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts, Ghaleon (probably spelled wrong) from Lunar 1, and...the boss of the Abyss from Wild Arms 1.
More in there somewhere, but all I can remember for now.

Edit: Oh, and Lavos in Chrono Trigger. Not at the end of the game, mind you. But at the very beginning of a new game+ w/a level 53 Chrono...and no one else. Yeah, that was fun.

Golem (the ones where you're suppose to lose) in Chrono Trigger (I actually beat them once without doing a new game plus at about level 37) and, yes, Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts.

I don't know if this counts as a boss but I fear the wizards that you have to fight before you can get crown in FF1. They themselves aren't hard per-se but by the time you get to them you are usually half dead.(If you are lazy like me and didn't earn enough cash for an adequate amount of pure potions). I can't count the number of time I crawled out of that cave with no one in my party having more than 5-10 hp left.

The Zombie Dragon the third time I went through Breath of Fire 3. I don't know why, but the bosses seemed to get harder every time you go through it again. Heck, I was even a higher level than when I first fought him and he was a pain in the ass.

OH! And Mega 8-Ball on Armored Core: Master of Arena. Hard as Hell. I ended up having to use the Titan nuke missiles and laserbladed the heck out of his punk ass with the all mighty Moonlight. Being able to have two laserblades AND being able to hit you with them WHILE firing at you?! He was crazy hard.

Let's see... That one tablet thing whose name I can't remember (from FF9) scared me because on my first time around, I had only one guy from my usual party while the other three were useless.

Umm.. the original summoner lady from FFX... she sucked. Big time. Kill her once, she's back with 30x the hp! kill her again, back with 3x the hp of the previous one! WOW, now thats what i call fun! :rolleyes:
