So I has PSP. Can I has suggests?

Well, I have a PSP now. Got it for free even. (Dad got it via work, and I gots it.)

So, looking for suggestions. Good ones, or at least not very bad ones.

So far, I've got Daxter, GoW:Chains & MGS: Port Ops

Beat Daxter already & really enjoyed it. Great game play, poor storyline.

...

FYI - Don't tell me about illegal mods. First, I've got a PSP-3000, which I take is the hardest to mod. Plus, I'm inherently too lazy to do the footwork on anything like that.

For hints, I likes me the platformers. Unfortunately, I've played & beaten th Ratchet & Clank PSP titles, and the newish Jak title. (All of them came out for the PS2, and I've got a fancy PS3 that plays both.)

I'm thinking I might try out the PSP Assasin's Creed and/or the Prince O' Persia titles.

- Hey, everyone seemed to help out Snake pretty well. So I don't think this is an unreasonable request. Assuming you don't hate me, in which case I guess I could expect a lot of bad suggestion.

I only bought my PSP for Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. It was well worth every penny.

Disgeae 1 & 2.
Monster Hunter 1,2, or 3. You're probably best off with 3.
Final Fantasy Tactics.

I have other games, but I don't play them nearly often enough cause they've died to me.

Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles is a great deal. Nice old style Castlevania platformer and it comes with Symphony of the Night as an unlockable.

Sky Warrior Bob 04-24-2010 08:53 AM

Castlevania looks like something I will look into. However, I am not a video game RPG fan, so those other suggestions will likely be ignored. Sorry.

(I might download a demo, if I can find it on the PSN. However, I don't expect anything to go from there.)

Also, if it helps any. I loves me some playformers. The thing is, if it got made by High Impact games, then I likely already have it.

I'm downloading a Loco-Roco demo. Not sure if it'll be anything I'm into, but I have to start somewhere.

- Also, I'm up for mini-game suggests. Not just the full things.
- And maybe PS1 titles, as aside from Metal Gear Solid & the Virtual Metal Gear Solid, I never did bother to pick up may PS1 titles for my PS2.

In Which I Suggest an Experiment and Display a List

Actually, Bob, I didn't buy mine either (interestingly, again my dad's job handed it to him, and he passed the buck).

Eh, Final Fantasy Tactics is certainly an "RPG", but it's not the typical kind. If you enjoy board games with friends at all (chess, checkers, or Heroscape, for example) I'd recommend giving it a try. Plus, you can get interaction and PvP or PwP (player with player) in FFT:War of the Lions. Even for the non-RPG-enthusiast. I unfortunately couldn't say that of Chrono Trigger - my other favorite game. which itself is non-standard - for example, but FFT:WotL is a different enough experience from most that you may enjoy it anyway.

QFT. But yeah. Even if you have or have played the original PS version, the new has enough new content that it's a new experience, though, both sadly and with wisdom, now some of the classic bad dialogue has been changed (you no longer summon the "Rich" for example). Also you can't use Game Shark anymore (which means no assassin for you! Also: no more fighting uber monsters at will!) but you can legally get a Dark Knight (different from Gaff, still, but better) and something called an "Onion Knight" (it sucks until you've mastered everything else. Then it only blows. Unless you have an unlimited supply of Porkies [3rd-tier Uribos]. Then it's tedius but awesome). Further, you can (also now without Game Shark) grab a buddy, and set two different teams against one another and play! Or even more nifty, you can play with a buddy on some missions. Further, several of their new optional missions have exceedingly difficult new monsters or groups of monsters. Very cool stuff. I mean, aside from that, I could recommend for you the Namco Museam, maybe? Classic games and all that. Also Tiger Woods PGA Tour (a game, I must note, that I would never have purchased - it was given to me with the PSP) has rather surprising replay value... if only to create new golfers and dress them up in silly-looking 'stat-enhancing' gear! Seriously, it's hard to find silly-looking gear in that game... though I manage. {insert evil laughter}.

My other games are:
~ Star Wars: Battlefront {Renegade Squadren} - a great game, but not on the PSP, as the screen is too small and there is too much movement, making it headache-inducing, and I've got a pretty good tolerance for such things.
~ Popolocrois - if the name doesn't scare you off, I will: it's a JRPG. It's cute and fun, but I seriously don't think you'd like it if you don't like RPGs, 'cause that's all it is.
~ Jeanne D'Arc - A poor-man's FFT:WotL. Seriously, it has some gorgeous graphics and a fascinating story but its gameplay is mostly repetative and becomes a chore to slog through when you want to level grind (which I do - constantly). Not recommended for anyone who doesn't really like RPGs or Tactical games a lot.

That (along with Namco Museum and FFT:WotL) honestly completes my collection, though I've played others and enjoyed them immensely. Just thought that might help in case someone you knew recommended one of those titles (kind of unlikely, but there you go) or you saw one and were curious about it.

Persona, Crimson Gem Saga, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Lunar Silver Star Harmony, Breath of Fire III (Import from EU), Half-Minute Hero, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days are great RPG purchases.

Persona 3 Portable and Valkyria Chronicles 2 will be out soon.

Also, get a few PSN cards and filter through the PSN storefront and get you some PSOne Classics and other downloadable games. Buy a large Memory card.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is quite decent
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Castevania Dracula X Chronicles
Megaman Powered Up
And if you are playing against friends, Worms Open Warfare 2

This.

Ace Combat X isn't half bad, if you're into that sort of thing. All my other games for the PSP are RPGs, though, so I can't tell you much about anything else.
