One of the most adventure-directing things you write on your character sheet in DnD is slignment. It is also one of the most fun.
What is your alignment?

I feel more like a Chaotic Good. Good deeds without codes or law. Fun.

Do you have the Hero Builder's Guidebook? It actually has a really comprehensive alignment test, which is theoretically supposed to be taken in character, but being a big ol' geek, I took it as myself. I was Neutral Good, but just one point away from Chaotic Good. I think helping others is more important than laws or structures, and just barely adhere to them, mostly in support of fairness and equality.

My friends mostly tested Chaotic Neutral, or refused to take it, claiming only they and the DM have any right to see that information. A stable, compassionate lot they are, truly...

My whole group of friends have CG characters. Our team plays mercinary based adventures. But, i dont know what their personal alignment is. Neutral is boring.

All the D&D based personality test things I've taken before peg me as Chaotic Good, which sounds a lot like me, so I'd say that is my alignment...

Although, I like neutral good, because it lets me spit in the face of draconian rulers, but still spout on about the qualities of justice.

Neutral is the perennial peacemaker, the "let's-agree-to-disagree" person. I personally know this to be true. Neutral is not boring, it's flexible. You'd think that having a dramatic alignment would lend itself to making dramatic plans, but the lawful folks are so set in their ways that they can't conceive of anything else, and the chaotic dudes can be so random and sporadic that nothing ever gets accomplished. Leaving the neutrals to do the planning. I know this to be true, as well...
