Ouch, I'm gonna be sore in the morning

So, yea...

I got hit by a drunk driver today.

Well, more specifically I hit him, but he pulled out in front of me at an intersection. Said he was doing a U Turn. Who does a U turn in the middle of a busy city highway at lunch time.

Oh yea, drunks.

Worst part is I was driving my sister's vehicle that she just paid for herself. She has a permit so she drives places and we have been driving it back and then coming back to pick her up. Also, kinda sore.

Does your sister know about this yet? Because I have the feeling you will be more sore after she learns of it.

Edit: Also have you been to a hospital or clinic? Because you should go even if you think you're fine, if the crash was bad enough to make you sore. Shock and adrenaline levels can make you not notice potentially serious/fatal injuries in such situations.

Plus whiplash is a fucking bitch. Didn't go in after spinning out on black ice, wasn't even sore, started getting migraines 2-3 days later. Goddamn whiplash.

Damn. Glad you're generally all right, at least.

The dude didn't run off or nothing right? You're gonna get the money his drunkity-drunk self emphatically owes you?

EVILNess 05-01-2010 08:53 PM

sister doesn't know, mother decided not to tell her until she got off work.

Also, I have no EDIT: MEDICAL insurance! Still i'm probably going to go to the doctor tomorrow.

Fifthfiend 05-01-2010 09:04 PM

I wouldn't really worry about whether you have insurance cause Mr. "Drunk dude making illegal U-turns or whatever" should be the one catching the bill for all that.

He might still get in some good trouble for driving uninsured, though.

Glad to hear you're alright. I hear way too many drunk driving stories that don't end like that.

I meant medical insurance. I have liability, and so did he.

Doesn't matter if you don't have medical, since the guy was drunk and is at fault I'm surprised you don't have lawyers perched on your lawn wanting to sue the guy for damages.

Well, wait a second. Is the dude in jail now or what?

What he said. Tell me he at least spent the night in the drunk tank?
