This could be the coolest thing ever made. But two thing springs to mind: 1. How much will it cost? 2.How much will each game cost? |
wow....that is really cool. i'm actualy quite suprised, maybe the PSP will have some competition afterall.

Ugh, two screens might take a little getting used too though.. Hopefully most games will just use one as an "action" screen and the other as inventory or somesuch... I like how they use it for mario kart there.
|
I see it as a major racing system. Like Mario Kart, Screen 1 is the race, and screen two is the map.
|
The second screen is mainly being used as a map. As time goes on, hopefully developers will come up with something more inventive. What's really selling me is the four-player wireless multiplayer. The Metroid deathmatch screens look pretty sweet, and I shudder to think of the possibilty of a portable Smash Bros.

I only have one question, What are bothe screens going to be used for, I can't read the link, but I found out about this a month ago with Game Informer Magazine. The protypes looked cool I was just curious what two screens were needed for

Looking at the other pages in the link, WarioWare INC. is on it, so It must be cool. |

looks like one screen will be the primary display, and the other an informational screen. i'm not sure if they said that both screens were touch sensitive, or if just one of them is. i am kind of worried about the touchpad screens. the only systems i've seen using them aren't very reliable, and since we're dealing with such small screens i dono how "those of us with big hands" are going to handle it. |
Ya they have been talking about that for a few months now in mags, are those pictures the final designs or just a prototype??
From what I have read it is Nintendo's answer to the Playstations portable so they can stay on top. To me I don't see how that extra screen is "This could be the coolest thing ever made." specially if all they are using it for is a map screen, like previously said they need to come up with an inventive way to use it. I will have to look at that link again cause I just glanced it but I wonder how much of a step up they will be making in graphics from the GBA because it seems like the PSP is pushing the envolope. Nintendo having OWNZ0red the handheld market there have been few advancments in graphics and function but I think sony with there large mainstream appeal will be able to give Nintendo a good run.... hopefully... I am one of those people that buy the handheld OTHER then nintendos and I have always been let down -_^ at least I wasn't stupid enough to get a ngage but I think the PSP seems to have the best chance then anyone else has had in the last 10 years.. Ahh may you rest in peace gamegear and NeoGeo Color I will never forget you... well maybe you NG Color you did suck. |
