Soul Calibur II Characters.
 

I have a feeling that this kind of thread has shown up before, but i am going to start it anyway.
The three versions of Soul Calibur II each have their own special character.
Link, Heihachi, and Spawn. I want to know who you think is the best "designed" character as in abilities. I dont want to know who would beat who, that would make this a versus thread and there is a seperate thread for that. I personaly cant decide who is best. Link can hit you no mater where you are, Heihachi can combo again and again, and Spawn is a power house with a speed that will suprise anyone.

I say Heihachi because he kinda fits into the game. Link seems to play to much like cassandra and spawn is a miss fit to the rest of the game.

I don't like to play as any of them actually, but Link is one annoying bastard to fight and seems to be the better of the three.

i have to say Link is the best, since he has the widest assortment of weapons, the only problem with him though is he happens to be the GC character and GC is the only one out of the three systems i dont have.

I like Link because he has that throw that can ring out anybody.

I voted for Heihachi because he has strength and speed. Link has more versatility and range. I think Link is cheesy, especially with arrow shooting.

Short-ranged fist fighters don't fit into a game where all the other characters use longer-ranged melee weapons.

But, I'll go with Heihachi anyway. I actually read some guides on GameFAQs that had the power listings for all characters, and actually Heihachi had the highest power at all weapons. Though, for purposes of fun and uniqueness, I go with Link; he's been around in video games longer than the other two.

Spawn was just blatant advertising on McFarlane's part. "Look at me, I'm Spawn, and I'm in a cool fighting game now so go out and buy all the Spawn merchandise." At least the other character McFarlane made(don't remember his name) was made just for the games.

Well personally who could Microsoft get for their own unique character? Master Chief, boy that would be great I could stand across the ring and pull out a machine gun or a rocket launcher and bam easy win.

But really its not like their are any other characters that scream X-box.

Seriously, Spawn is just too cheesy for my tastes, and Link... well... the GC SC2 is my fave version for tech reasons, but seriously, he's just too....
