A quick legal question

I'm positive that there's a law against people congregating in the middle of a public street, but I have no idea where to even begin to look for such a thing. Could someone more familiar with this sort of thing than I tell me where exactly I should be looking for this?

You should look up loitering laws.

Or you could just call the police next time it happens.

I would suggest asking Solid Snake, but he's a wreck right now. So yeah just call the police and they'll sort shit out.

I don't suppose we could ask for an explanation of events leading up to this thread?

If it impedes traffic even for an instance it's considered jaywalking.

Though, me and my friends have often just taken a nice stargaze while lying down on the street, and that's perfectly legal as long as you're not there while any bikes or cars are coming.

Police would normally work, but I'm trying to use this as a preventative measure.

Unless you want to hear about LARP drama, I'd suggest you not. The short version, though, is that the head of the group cheated her way into office. Now she's trying to hold meetings at inconvenient places so we can't vote her out.

I'd say if all else fails, take everyone but her and start anew. If anyone's dumb enough to stick with her, they deserve what they get. She can have fun leading a LARP group consisting of her and a sock puppet.

From wikipedia:

Quote:

Section 3 of the Militia Act gave power to the President to issue a proclamation to "command the insurgents to disperse, and retire peaceably to their respective abodes, within a limited time", and authorised him to use the militia if they failed to do so. Substantively identical language is presently codified at chapter 15 of title 10, United States Code
So uh...ring Obama?

...

Where the hell is Solid Snake? What did we put him through law school for if not to answer unsubstantial legal questions at our whim?
