You know, I thought about checking out the pay server thing, but every time I check this thread it amounts to people being like, "Man this communal legos thing is pretty cool... too bad there's all these other people playing with my legos." Which pretty much leaves me wondering... why are you all playing the multiplayer version if you get angry about people altering your buildings, or setting fires, or whatever?
Like, I get the basic, 'I made this sand castle, don't stomp on it,' thing, but I also got over people I was playing in the sand box/on the beach with knocking over walls or deciding to raid it with a bunch of green army men or building an extra story on top of it (or, more often, trying and failing horribly, resulting in the entire thing falling apart) when I was five.
I can see shutting off fire because it lags the system as it stands (or boats for that matter), but I can't see shutting it off because someone doesn't like seeing a wild fire now and then.

While you are removing fire, go ahead and make TNT unusable so I don't have to spend an hour moving my house on top of the hour I spent prepping a build spot again because you decided to put a crater to the center of the world just a few feet behind where i had started.
This is worse then the fires, you can't just fix this

Mobs don't spawn in the multi-player alpha. You can only get the materials for TNT from mobs.
The only way to get TNT is from admins.
So, basically, shutting off TNT is pointless, as the only people that can use it can also just turn it back on.
