Respawn question
 

Me and my friends were playing Halo last night. Of cource, we would get killed now and then and respawn. Eventually, we got into a discussion about respawning. My question is, if you die, and then you respawn, are you a virgin?

Well see that depends on the whole concept of "respawn." One possibilty is that respawning produces a clone of you, that's brand-new, so you would be a virgin. But this is impossible for the respawned person if full grown. Another possibility is that at the beginning of a match, you're body and DNA are coded and stored. Then, whenever you die, that information is used to create a you that is an exact copy of the beginning of the match. Then you could be a virgin, but you might also not be depending on what you were at the beginning of the match. If you had sex in the middle of the match, then you're respawn would indeed be a virgin. If a respawn works in such a way that when you deny, nanites reconstruct your body as an exact copy of when you die, then no you wouldn't be a virgin, even if you had sex in the middle of the match.

I think your just looking to much into this. It's only a videogame.

If someone is going to ask a question, I'll be damned if I don't try my hardest to answer it to the best of my abilities. This is exactly the sort of question that requires cognitive and complex thought trains to determine, though its actual requested information is rather obscene.

I would hate to know how a respawning disscusion could cange like this.

It wouldn't really matter for a guy. Being a virgin is no different physically then not being one. Technically it would be no since the new body has not had sex, but mentally he has.

Well the physical mind is a part of the body, so your virginity would stay intact depending on which method of respawn exists.

I like to think that respawning causes an immense amount of pain. That way when my guy dies I can yell at the computer: "Ha! That'll teach you!"

I think it all depends on what you were when you started the match. I think respawning is really just your atoms recomposing themselves in a should-be
"safe spot"(natrally you can camp out spawning points, so it's not so safe). Besides, if you want to really know, look up "virgin" in the dictionary.
