"Hey I'm POS. Actually it was more because leading up to the coffee thing you'd been making weird posts all over the place.

That very well may be true, probably it was all the other crap. However, I think the point of me bringing it up was apparently lost... See I was going for the ironic "hey look at me I'm bringing up shit that was so long ago it shouldn't matter anymore" bit because apparently that's the 'in' thing to do in this thread. Also I felt Funka's advice great, and wanted to get started, what with the anecdotes and such that make me look all edgy, and misunderstood.

My point is that, when you've been banned in the past for a bunch of weird spammy shit, and then you're still doing it now

I'd like to know exactly what was weird, and spammy today that required the heads up.

Most of it was fine in the context of the threads, which is why I'm only giving you a heads up right now.

I disagree. I say it was ALL in context to each thread I posted in today. No heads up were in order.

This is another example of how one should just say "Sure, I'll try not to do it again." or even "I don't think I was doing that, but if I was I'll try not to do it again". That's a lot easier.

You never get anywhere in life by taking the easy road, my friend.
Also I'm a big fan of standing up for myself. Not saying you're wrong, or anything.

Osterbaum 08-15-2010 07:18 PM

What I'm trying to say, I guess, is 'pick your battles' or something.

e: I mean they way I'd react to a heads up from a mod would propably be "Ok, sorry" even if I didn't think I had done anything wrong. That or 'fuck you and suck my dick' but I wouldn't go on about it any further.

e2: But I'm done butting in on this matter now.

So it's like a reverse of the fallacy of the golden mean, then?

Also: What's with dicks all of a sudden?

Fair enough, though I'd say you wound up less with edgy and more just misunderstood.

Welp!

It's worth noting that, while we are more apt to look the other way on the occasional somewhat-out-of-left-field post, starting up a thread like that in the midst of several somewhat-out-of-left-field posts is an easy way to get some negative mod attention in a hurry, and then everything you do can start looking kinda bad.

Going to go with Osterbaum's assertion that you're not making as much sense as you think you are.

It's easier, but if you can clarify your actions in a mature, polite, and reasonable manner, it's more than welcome.

In this case, clarification was necessary, though there are things like that Krogo thread that Torque would benefit from learning from in the future.

This thread is gaining potential, I can't wait to see what the next act is.

Osterbaum 08-15-2010 07:34 PM

Me doing your mom. Dissapointed?

e: Ok, yeah. Sorry, 'cause that was just bad.

Well, I was TRYING to be sarcastic... Was just trying to roll with it.

Ok, I give you that ONE, but that thread got locked down before it could even go anywhere. I was actually being honest, but in a goofy way.

Also, are we on to dicks now, because I can totally get on board with that.
