Avengers & Infinity Gauntlet Thread of Infinity... gauntletting? I don't know.
I laughed my way through that comic. I loved every bit of that.
Though, I gotta ask: That bit with Wolverine. Was Wolverine pretty much forced into your story, and was that some biting commentary to your benevolent overlords? Or did you add him yourself, just so you could add that line? Either way, that was just perfect. Will await the rest of the series with gleeful anticipation! |
I had full control over the team. One of my early pitches was for Heroes for Hire and I wasn't discouraged from going in that direction.
So, Wolvie's on the team because I wanted to have fun with him and at his expense. Glad you enjoyed it! |
Dammit, I totally missed every conceivable date and asked the comic store guys to get this for me only a week or two ago. Also I forgot the name and could only ask for "that new Infinity Gauntlet series by Brian Clevinger." Here's hoping!

Man, Doom really does get all the best lines, doesn't he? The wait between issues on this is gonna be hard. Ya got me all geared up and then BAM! To be continued...
Also, I really liked the second half of your WWH back-up story. I wish you could write Reed Richards forever. And I was kinda disappointed he was disappeared in Infinity Gauntlet for that reason. |

Spoilers ahoy!
I do want to say that I really enjoyed the comic, and thought it was very funny. It almost feels too ridiculous though, the serious parts (where Doom tries to convince them to let him on the team) were really well written, but overall I felt it was just way too overboard to be taken seriously. That may well have been the point though. Also, I felt the storyline was really, really, really rushed. Like I felt what unfolded in the course of one comic could have unfolded over the course of 2-3 comics and I would have been much more satisfied. As a reader I was just going from one event to the next to the next and those events (the fight at the beginning, the people vanishing around the world, the events with Doom) could have been slower paced and more fleshed out. Otherwise I really like it. One of the things I hate when there is a big group of superheroes in a storyline like this is when an author has them talk in a way that is not really in character for them, and every character you utilized was acting just about how we'd expect them too. :-) |

Just hand in every script with two or three extra issues' worth of people standing around talking, and see if they print it.
I mean, it worked for Brian Bendis. |
Fame and riches here I come!

Hey, Brian, my comic book shop isn't getting new comics because its owners are ugly and stupid. Where can I buy this online?
