So apparently the world is not strange enough anymore...

Well, I managed to shock myself at how jaded (or totally geeky) I am.

I was reading one of those annual Guinness world records books from the store I work during my break. I randomly flipped the pages and I came across something like this.

Lewandowsky-Lutz dysplasia: Rare condition where a person develop warts with the texture and hardness of gnarled tree barks that agressively spread across the body. Go ahead, google it for images. I'll wait... Here is one of them for you though...

So apparently, instead of being shocked or amazed, I felt bored and thought to myself.

"So someone cast Barkskin on him." *Yawn*

Seriously, I get all estatic and filled with glee with something like "Tesla's Eye of Sauron anti theft device" (Google up images for that too), but something like a mutated body condition that mimics a 2nd level DnD spell doesn't even phase me much at all. Only thing that was good to know was that the guy was able to get corrective surgeries for them.

Have you guys ever saw something that should for all intent and purpose be astounding or mind-blowing or shocking, but you passed it off as something that was unimpressive or even ordinary?

He looks like a guy from Uzumaki. O_o

As to the question, I picked this avatar to remind myself to avoid exactly what you're describing. I think the last boring anything* I saw was Meet the Spartans. But then even that movie is impressive with its unparalleled blandness.
