Heads up!

The trailer for The Incredibles is now up on the web. And, as a special bonus, a direct link to the Full screen version. How could it be more convenient than that.

As for the trailer, what can I say? Pixar is the gold standard for character animation in CGI, and I'd say they've taken it to the next level. Looks like they've managed to get human animation down at last.

I don't know what The Incredibles is but it sounds great but the link doesn't work WHY OH WHY DOESN'T THE LINK WORK!?!?!?!?

:(

Because you didn't select the Quick Time tag then click on the Trailers.

Pretty Mary K 05-16-2004 07:35 PM

This internet thing is too complicated for me. I'm gonna go have some jellybeans.

Priest4hire 05-16-2004 07:42 PM

I fear it worked last night, but I guess Apple broke it so as to prevent people from downloading it. http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/the_incredibles/ always works.

Oh, and The Incredibles is the next film from Pixar. It deals with golden age superheroes.

Static Hamster 05-16-2004 07:49 PM

Or, more accurately, a Golden Aged Superhero.

Pretty Mary K 05-16-2004 11:07 PM

That's awesome. I hope they don't make it too kiddy.

Even though they will.

Of course, it's Disney.

But anyway, Disney and Pixar have parted ways. Pixar's going to finish the contracts they have with Disney while making their own movies, and continue to make their own movies after their last contract with Disney is finished.

I believe the term is "family". Kid's films don't pull in over $300 million at the box office. They do like the Pokemon films and maybe do 50-100 if that. I've always enjoyed the little bits that Pixar puts in just for the adult segment. Like the great Shining homage in Nemo. I'm sure that this new film will be the same way: Safe entertainment for the whole family backed by a great story and some meat for the adults.

Pretty Mary K 05-16-2004 11:59 PM

Well, I do like meat.

I'll hold you to that, Disneyman. I will.
