Thoughts on FFX-2
 

I bought FFX-2 on Friday. I've been playing and I like it all right but I'm having trouble getting into it as much as I did the other final fantasy games. Maybe I need to give it more time, or does anyone else feel the same way?

What? Another one? Oh well.

I am really getting into X-2. I havn't had this much fun with a video game in a long time.

I'vew only seen my friend playing it but I'm seeing some great promise in it. The game system looks really fun and it has some real freedom of movement (and freedom in battle).

And did I mention Paine is a really great character so far?

Still kinda hard to get use to Rikku's peppyness though...

I dont know, maybe you are just expecting too much from it, I guess giving it more time is the best option, as... it couldnt hurt.

The problem your having is with the job system. It's just like in Final Fantasy Tactics. The begining can seem like contonental drift to a rookie player. It'll get better the more you play. Trust me.

I havn't played the game yet, but the job/costume system looks promising. Also, you HAVE to at least grin at a job command called "Trigger Happy."

I mean no offense in saying this, but I think the game looks more like "fanservice" than a full-fledged FF, but at least it isn't as bad as some others... (DOA, anyone?)

The latest FF I've played is FF9, so I don't really get any of this FFX stuff...except one of the guys kicked butt with a soccer ball :D

I havent played FFX yet, my brother has it so ill have to start the game.
I did read the stratagy guide though and i know all about it!
Its like going throught the game with all of that hassleing "playing".

And who dosnt like fanservice :D .

Fanservice? Hmm... more reason to get it...

Do the male characters have big roles in this game?

It seems like a big game with little content, if you really wanted to I bet you could finish the game in 10-20 hours first play through, most of the game's content is in it's sidequests, and personally, I hate sidequests, they are nothing more than feeble attempts to make the game seem longer then it really is.

You may say that I didn't give it much of a change but I am already into chapter 4 and as I understand it there are only 5 chapters.

I like how you can change class anytime you want when its that character's turn. Hey i want to steal that item... bam a thief. Now I just want to pummel those enemies into pyreflies... bam warrior. How about putting a status effect on all the enemies... bam songstress. Who's your Rikku!
