Vindictus - Good to play or too much of a dream?
Action MMO, do the words really go together? Is it worth it to give my life to yet another MMO, especially one that Nexon is making? We knows they the devil an all, but damn... DFO was kinda fun and I just figured out my password again.
It's still in beta so I'm kinda wondering where everyone else sees this game going in the next few months. |
It looks cool, anyway, and since it's free I'll probably try it out, I've decided to try MMOs again...probably Guild Wars, LOTR: Online and other free or cheap ones.
The tank-girl character sounds cool, I can see myself doing some Phalanxing about. I dunno about connecting the characters to the classes but since it allows for some voice acting/characterization/story it's probably a decent enough idea. |

Magus: If you don't like the character aspect and don't mind a visuals change, Dragon Nest is coming out too - probably a few months after Vindictus, though.

- you are constantly injuring (breaking, that sickening snap is not a scuff) your legs from jumps and falls - controls are terrible - the game LOVES to cripple your stats in every way imaginable at every opportunity - it plays like slogging through a bog I watched him play a bit. It's not all that pretty, the sound is meh, he broke his legs four times in roughly two minutes just going back to town, but it didn't seem to have much apparent effect, so it probably killed some stat or another. The game's definitely riding on branding. |
Oh I'd like to add:
I'm never going to play Vindictus OR Dragon Nest because, hey, guess what, Brazil is IP blocked by Nexon. Oceania players can play in the NA version and there'll be an EU version of Vindictus coming out later...So yeah. |
Maybe you can play under the Eastern server in some zany twist of logic? Anyway, that sucks, maybe there will be an SA server released eventually too?
And too bad about the LOTRO thing, I felt the same way about their other MMO DnD online. It is SUCH tantalizing branding, too, I'd love to play some Middle-Earth. Is it just me or is there some other LOTR MMO out there? I know this one is going free, though, so maybe it was The One I was thinking of. |

He actually said he wanted one he knew was bad so he wouldn't be tempted to spend money on it. He just didn't know what he was in for. |
