A day in the life of....

... you.
Seriously, what are you up to today? Or tomorrow maybe? Yesterday even, perhaps? Me? I just did an overtime shift at work. I normally custom build made-to-order honey extractors in a work shop, but today I was enlisted to supervise the production staff in the bottling side of the plant. It was my job to set up the machinery, and I fucked up the date expiration code on one of the products we were running.
Long story short production was cut almost in half due to the amount of time it took to erase, and reprint, the date code on over 4,000 bottles. I'm going to have one fuck of a time explaining this one come monday... So, not really a great day today. But I've had worse days, and every day spent above ground is a good day. So hey, live and learn.

I usually come into work around 6:30, check my email for like a half hour then hit the snack bar. I've switched to diet soft drinks so its probably not going to kill me in the next 5 years.

Then it really depends if there's a mission scheduled, some repair parts come in or there's maintenance to be done. Sometimes I sit down at my consul and press some buttons until some guy on a radio tells me I'm dead. Sometimes we load some test equipment and tools into a truck and head onto the test range to repair and maintain the radar systems.

But mostly I troll npf while I drink my coke zero and laugh about how fucking awesome I am.

nice. lol. seriously tho, don't feel the need to only discuss work. Work sucks. Even if your job is awesome.
My girlfriend is talking to my cat right now.
I think they're arguing.
My cat is Siamese.
My cat is definitely winning the argument.

Well my personal life is pretty depressing. I usually come home, try to get to the gym, and then play world of warcraft while I cry bitter tears of loneliness.

also I golf.

My life is fairly structured at this point, despite being a college student. Get up, browse internet/do homework, at noon I go to lunch with old roommate (The same one everyday), go back to room and finish homework/browse internet, go to class, go back to room and become increasingly aggravated over love life, play WoW/Brawl/Card games with current roommates till midnight, bed.

Weekends have some more freedom involved, but for the most part there's a lot of regular activities in there (DnD group, Zombie FPS/LARP thing, visiting with family).

I'm boring. I'm going to school five days a week, and yesterday I got one of dem nifty iPhone 4's. So I spent today with a pre-paid Visa and iTunes. Aww yeah.

May end up going to D&D tonight, but that's a good hour drive away, and it's raining out...

But thanks for asking!

I had a nice breakfast with my mom this morning to celebrate us both making it home alive (I drove from Green Bay, she was on a cruise in the Caribbean dodging a hurricane the whole time, and I think my life was in more danger). After that, we came home and I walked on eggshells all day so I didn't wake her or my brother, so most of my day was spent checking my berries in HeartGold and hitting F5 online. I also had to pick up all the sticks our numerous trees dropped during the windstorm I drove home through and mow the lawn.

I did get a really great character idea, though, or rather an ability that's really great that I'll be able to apply to a character later. The character is already forming a bit in my head, but he's not main protagonist material. I'll need to add him to a cast that's a good fit later. I just don't have a good spot for him currently.

Edit: Now icing myself after lugging all our plants in because it got cold out. I'm pretty sure I pulled something. Hopefully I recover between tonight and tomorrow afternoon or I'm going to be shuffling with all my heavy bags. X(

Edit again: Actually, today's been my most interesting numerically since school started. That's pretty cool, I guess.

Worked at the movie theater. Some guys came by with a big bag of tasers and tried to sell'em to us, but I didn't buy one. I, like most people, am not in the market for a taser and don't consider weapons appropriate for impulse purchases. Later, I storyboarded up an orientation film for the theater that will never be made. It was very artistic. And I guess I sold some people popcorn and stuff around that.

And now I'm home, drinking beer after a month of not drinking, while a friend watches videos of hunters taking down Alatreon.

Should we start yesterday, at midnight? I guess around midnight I was stumbling around an apparently "Asian" club in Ottawa called Sotto, that seems to be really into the techno.

I don't have much taste for music but techno doesn't hit any of my immediate dislikes. Add in three glasses of sparkling wine, three shots of tequila, and two rum and cokes and I didn't really care if god damn Polka music started playing. So I danced and started wondering if I smelled bad because people kept moving away from me. In retrospect it was probably because I lack the motor function to dance sober, so dancing under the influence of that much alcohol was out of the question.

We left the club early, which I wasn't too happy about but I wasn't in a position to really argue either. We walked around downtown Ottawa for like an hour and a half. I fell backwards down a flight of stairs. The alcohol both caused the accident and saved me from death. The great equalizer! Someone not so drunk drove us home, and we started re-hydrating while watching a rather boring game of NHL 11 between the two sober people. Then most of my friends left, and I ate like a pound of tortellini since I hadn't eaten in about 12 hours.

Passed out. Woke up in the afternoon with just enough time to slap a helmet on my head and bike against the moderately strong wind to work. Thanks to spending an hour hydrating, my hangover was very minimal. I had so much work to do it was astonishing and depressing. Around 9PM I realized, hm, it's been like 18 hours since I ate anything. My insides were about to cave in. I demolished a foot long meatball sub from Subway, and the rest of my work shift felt like moving through molasses. I recalled various lectures in animal physiology about how blood flow changes from everywhere in your body to an emphasis on your digestive system after eating. That was probably happening even more to me.

It started consistently spitting outside just in time for my bike ride home, and I spent the 30 minute ride splashing through the enormous puddles since fuck it, I was waterlogged after 5 minutes. Got home, took a hot shower, started washing my clothes, ate, watched Get Him to the Greek. Good movie.

This is definitely a more exciting, atypical day for me, though. Good thing the thread got started today. Let's just pretend this thread got created, like, on Wednesday:

Came home from work, over-ate, lost temper with roommate, hid in bedroom and trolled internet while weeping uncontrollably to this.
