The Origins of our names.

I am not sure if this has been done before, but I think it would be interseting to know how we all came up with our NPF names.

Walkertexasdruid: It is quite curious, because my name is not Walker, I am not a druid (though through my mostly British Isles ancestry, one of my sires may have been one 2500 years ago), and I have never stepped one foot in Texas (the closest I have been is Alabama, where my grandfather lives). Anyway the name came from a D&D campaign, where I was trying to emulate one of my favorite Terry Brooks' characters, Walker Boh, a druid who survived through five Shannara books. My DM started making fun of my character by calling me, "Walker, Texas Druid". The name stuck, and I have been using it for many of my internet endevours ever since.

The Thread Killer: A very dark side of my personality that sometimes takes over and actively starts mindless threads, and who tries to derail good threads with mind-numbing comments. I try to keep him under control, but sometimes he takes over. My apologies for the things he as done, and the things he may do in the future.

Alright, you have glimpsed into my scarred psyche, in regards to my names. Now everyone, let us hear what inpsired the choices of your NPF names. ;)

I do recall a thread like this a long time ago. Not sure if any were made since then.

I think we've had about 5 threads like this. Hell I even have a standard issue response by now.

Basically my online alias pretty much everywhere is "Hawk of Battle", which is what my real name translates as. I always found that to be pretty awesome.

Yeah, that's about it.

That's... that's not the same at all, Kakashi. Maybe you should use your other eye to see the difference. hurrr

Oh I Guess This Is More Appropriate For Now
It Stems From The Correctly-Spelled English Word And Embraces The Aspects Of People And Technology Being Interconnected And Of Balance
Something Akin To That, Anyway

For A While I Have Been Pairing Custom Titles With Avatars, So That Should Be Obvious

Synk, how did you do that with your voice?

I hate making names.

I must have tried to find the worst possible name I could in a vague Final Fantasy theme without using any actual nouns.

I always thought a 'Drgon' was like a sub-dragon species like, Draconian, Dragonite... Dragon Tales.

Nick = Nique. Sooooooo... I don't know. It looks like a good fantasy name so I generally use it in RPGs. It's been my online alias for almost 10 years so I feel somewhat attached to it here which is why I haven't requested a name change. Elsewhere I'll use the tag 'Nameless'. I'll use it in any MMOs I join ('NamelessSeeD', 'NamelessEsper', 'NamelessDragoon', etc.)
