They saterted showing a tv series called firefly here in finland just a few months back. I really like the series and I've heard that it's gonna have no contiunation. So as this series was propably put on there a long time a go I would like to now if it's gonna have more episodes or not? It's a scifi series in case you're not sure what I'm talking about...

yeah i heard about it. from joss whedon, the guy that created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and its spinoff Angel. it was cancelled in late 2002. there was a possibility of Joss finding another network to continue airing it, but I havent heard anything else about it. I did hear that Universal Pictures has greenlit "Serenity,'' a film based on Firefly, supposed have all the original cast and such.

Well that would be great. The film I mean. And with the original cast even better. I'm not sure why I like the series so much...I just do...I didn't like Buffy The vampire Slayer though, but Firefly is a good series. I like the theme song alot too. So when you say you heard they gave Serenity the greenlight you mean you heard it from where? Read it in a moviemagazine or somethingl like that? And even if they don't make the film I hope they continue the series.

Firefly was a really good series that was shown on the not-as-good network, Fox. it didnt pull in the ratings as quickly as they wanted, so they axed it halfway through the first season. which is a shame, as its a very well made, entertaining show. the full series is available on DVD, and is a pretty good buy if you're looking for science fiction shows.

Fox, cancelling more great shows than other networks even air.

I thinks they're showing the hole season here though they put it on at 23.30. on wendsdays which is not the best day or hour. The DVD isn't on sale here, but maby it will come to the stores after the series has finished and if not I can maby order it from somewhere. If they make the movie I realy hope they put on the cast from the series cause they were all good, especially together. I liked the guy who plays the captain the most. The series is some real good scifi to my taste.

Have you noticed by the way that the equipment the alliance soldiers have looks a lot like starship trooper equipment...? I personally would have chosen the side of the Independents.

i noticed exactly that when i watched it. not the highest production values, but its still good.

Their helmets and wests are exactly the same. The rifles they carry...I'm not sure...There's no more starship trooper stuff though.

The episode they are putting on here the day after tomorrow is number 2 of 2 and it's about how the doctor and his sister got onboard. It seems that these are the last episodes, actually I think that the next one after this is gonna be the last. I hope they make the movie and more episodes.

I forget who it was that said this originally, but it's undeniably true -- if you were to start a TV network made up solely of TV shows aired and then quickly cancelled by FOX and MTV, it would be the greatest TV network ever.

They cancel everyting...DOOM ON THEM! Anyway if you would want to support the Firefly movie you can go to that link Viper posted and find the link to the "contact us" page of Universal and then send them a email saying how happy you are they are making the movie.
