Dwarves vrs. Elves(Wrong Forum?)
 

This is the discussion forum, but there aren't any things relating to 8-Bit or anything on here...I looked around...

Anyways, what is a better race: Elf or Dwarf. And why?

Well, dwarves can create guns, while elves are stuck with their pansy ass bows.
However, elves can use magic, while dwarves are stuck with their pansy ass guns.
However, dwarves can mine mithril, which generally has really strong protection from magic (depending on the RPG world you're in), and can usually mine it more quickly than elves can study magic.
So, dwarves = teh win.

You want to look into the Vs thread in the general forum. I'm sure the topic was brought up at one point, or you could suggest it again.

Well, Elves are quick little bastards too, and since when did Dwarves make guns? I can see it know...'Da Ghetto Dwarf Blood'...That'd be a good movie.

Yeah, I'd abandon this and just go into the Battle Royal thread.
And don't try to read through all of it, you might end up banging your head against the wall, just go to the last page and ask.

Oh, and Elvish magic would whoop the dwarves @$$(guns or no).

ok. ive done this already. Table top battle game Warmaster, my dwarven army wasted the elven army even though my dwarves were outnumbered 2 to 1. i rest my case.

edit- dwarves do make guns. Warmaster, Warcraft III, any other thing with dwarves (except LOTR) has dwarves making guns

edit 2- in Warmaster Dwarves have a thing called the runesmith, his job is to dispell magic

Really? Because last I checked most fantasy dwarves (including D&D, the biggest fantasy world/worlds) don't. Because in most fantasy guns don't exist. Actually, in most fantasy gnomes or elves would be more likely to make guns, as that elves are generally better at working small pieces of metal (which is what a gun is made up of) and gnomes generally make faux-technology... the kind that blows up in your face...

Dwarves, on the other hand, tend to be stupid. Guns require an alchemist (closest to chemistry that fantasy comes) to mix the powder. Most dwarves don't learn alchemy because they're beserkers/idiots...

Oooooooooh. Runesmith. If the elves can't use their magic then their screwed, because they are beat in the long range by guns, and everyone knows they're pansies in close combat.
