American Anime
This is somthing i have been wondering. WHAT THE HECK ARE AMERICAN ANIMATORS THINKING!? I have seen alot of shows that are poor attempts to look like an anime. The show i find is the worst is called "Code Lyoko"
IT FAILED! |
Hey, be nice. Teen Titans is one of my favorite shows.
Totally Spies, however, is awful. |
Yes, Teen Titans is good. But some shows have failed.
This is what i dont like about Code Lyoko: The only things remotly japanese in it are two characters when they are in the VR world. One is a samarui the other is a girl in a komono who throws fans that are covered in lasers. Next, their actions have no consiquences, they just "go back to the past" like nothing happened at the end. This is my example. One character had a choice to make, play in an important soccer game, or go to the VR world and "save the world." Then another choice, go save a teacher from the school, or play more of the soccer game. He could have just gone to the VR world, battled, won, and "go back to the past" and played the game like nothing happened. What was the point of the choice if in the end, everything is just like there was no choices. |
If I have to say a good then, then it's "What's with Andy?"
His jokes are very comical to the junior high school age, and best of it's, it's based in my home province, Alberta, Canada! For those of you who don't know the show, Teletoon at 6:30 pm |
Those shows would suck even if they weren't anime-style.
Think about that. |
Code Lyoko I think maybe an import but not japan. I think its french or something. But some US animes are good like Megas XLR. To be exact the basis of japanese anime is actually american. America just went a different route.
|
You know, if Code Lyoko is French, then it really is Anime, since Japanese stole the word Anime from the French.
Then there was a war over it, and the French surrendered. No one was surprised. |

American Anime is so evil that Black Mage bows before its might. I'm trembling right now.

So, technically, "American anime" really doesn't make sense. But, since most Americans don't have the fortune of personally knowing somone who was born and raised in Japan for about twenty years of his/her life, they generall think all "anime" is the style of Japanese animation. So, I'll throw my two cents it. Everyone ever had the "Who sings that song? Let's keep it that way." two-liner pulled on someone. Well, here's how I see it: "Who draws that style?" The Japanese. "Let's keep it that way." |
