FFD6: The Dicening: The Discussion: The Thread: Part Deux

Because the game is going and I don't feel like sorting through 200 posts for things past the sign-up.

FIRST OLD BUSINESS:

GROUP 1
Mauve Mage: Dark Knight, Hume
Menarker: Dragoon, Android
IHMN: Blue Mage, Hume
Riin Whitewind: Black Mage, Tarut
phil_: Entertainer, Tarut
BardTheFifthLightWarrior: Red Mage, Hume
Teal Mage: White Mage, Hume

GROUP 2
Arhra: Fighter, Viera
Dracorion: Dragoon, Viera
Overcast: Blue Mage, Hume
CelesJessa: Thief, Viera
Geminex: Red Mage, Tarut
POS Industries: Gambler, Moogle
McTahr: White Mage, Tarut

OLD BUSINESS COMPLETED.

New business: I'll be moving along both groups to their immediate destinations (Altair and airship respectively) either tonight or tomorrow when I wake up (whenever that is), unless someone has some more posts they want to make interactificating. Just toss a post here and be like "Woah, thar doggy, I wanna get somethin' up," and I'll be all, "Kay!" and everything will be copacetic.

I now open the floor to anyone else who wishes to bring up new business.

Know I should have checked if we could use sleep/stop as a means of capture before I put this down but I have been given very little time to do crap for a bit and I just wanted to get something up. And dammit do I have some things to catch up on.

And this was the easiest.

Works.

Also, I would have gotten up Group 1's post sooner, but I got called into work today. Someone had the flu.

Dracorion 12-16-2010 05:52 PM

I don't think we have anyone that can inflict sleep or stop, though, Ovie.

Overcast 12-16-2010 05:55 PM

Yeah, but I bet our thief might have some 'contacts' that might sell some dream dust.

Oh dear, we need to spend the scene(s) micromanaging our time?

My, my.

I'll need to do some kind of General Lore roll, I guess, over IM to see if Arden has any acquaintances in the city. 'cause otherwise, Phil'll be the one trying to get information for us and everyone else will get to shop with our tiny, tiny funds!

Such fun we will have!

Well, I guess Jhennek could always rent herself out to a demolition crew.

Edit: Oh! Raltz is famous. That'll help.

Geminex 12-16-2010 06:08 PM

Hmm... Dream dust only lasts for several combat rounds, though. That's 2-7. Is that gonna be enough to secure the thing?

Edit:
And how're we gonna secure it anyway? I don't see us carrying the cage with us while we're tracking the thing, so we'd somehow have to tie it up before it comes to its senses again, and then carry/otherwise transport it to our "base". I think McTahr's aero could help, since he could give it the 'float' status, which'd make it easier to transport.

Still, I'm thinking we should at the very least knock it out, since 2-7 rounds probably wouldn't be enough to make the monster secure for transport.

Overcast 12-16-2010 06:12 PM

If it isn't we are terrible monster hunters and we deserve to be turned to stone.

No, but really it should be a slow action so I think we could get away with it.

Geminex 12-16-2010 06:13 PM

You're the monster hunter. You know best. XD

Still, Krylo, would a slow action be enough? Assuming we had sufficient rope/chains on hand?

I find myself really wishing I had taken 'lock' instead of 'fire'...

Well that's just an option. It's also up to you if you want to sleep, or pull an all nighter and arrive at Maris at like 2 am, give or take.

And of course dealing with the wagoner who MIGHT not want to go to the city that no one has come back from recently.

Float is a different spell.

Boss monsters might have more than 13 strength. Maybe.
