Eh, gonna propose the team wait until tomorrow to start huntin'.

By the way, does anyone by any chance have a text-only version of the guide?

Sorry for my absence. I'm on the school computer right now since my internet at home is down. And it'll be down for a few more days.

Hey Mern. Wanna have Ark join Elsa for a stroll through town?
Sure for both of them, although Ark might be a bit lawful to be a murderbot (follows an undefined algorithm that is pretty focused on doing the assigned job as effectively as possible.) Of course, if someone starts a fight with Elsa (or Elsa starts one and make it look like the other side started it) and asks for his help, he'll likely comply. :3

Basically, a good way to get Ark to do something is to spin it so he's not doing something outside of expected requirements or even benefits the mission objectives.

ANYHOW! Krylo, I got several questions I forgot to ask, which will be important to know.

How are you handling negative hitpoints? Is it half the hitpoints of the character like hinted with the Vengeful Trait? (So someone with high vit has more chance of living if they get knocked out. such as someone with 200 hitpoints dies at -100) I figured this to be the case because later on in the RP, foes will be capable of dealing quite a bit of damage in hitpoints. And unless someone has the Autolife effect on them (which stops excessive damage from going below 0), then it would easily hit pretty big numbers like -10 if we were using DnD rules as an offside example.

How will you handle status afflictions when a person hits 0? Normally in the games, all statuses get removed when a person is knocked out. Naturally, this makes sense for several like Berserk, Confusion which implies the target is mentally there in the first place.
However logically, a person who is unconscious due to poison should still be poisoned when they are unconscious. So... Is a person who goes unconscious still poisoned and thus in danger of dying if the group's healer doesn't have antidote spell and no one thought of buying antidotes? (I should have Ark buy some of those and blindness cure.)

"Hey Ark, this shopkeeper is refusing to sell us this chocobo cart that we need in order to save the missing city. He's clearly obstructing justice. Kill him. It's the right thing to do."

Menarker 12-22-2010 03:47 PM

Naturally, little dragon Jugan would be all to eager to follow for the sake of drumsticks... JUSTICE, he means justice! =P

Anyhow, you can make the post if you like and have Elsa lead the way, having Ark come along probably for the purpose of "checking to see if the others had any luck procuring transportation".

Kay. I'll try and get something written up during my dinner break at work this evening.

Menarker 12-22-2010 04:54 PM

Cool. ^^ Although Ark isn't lawful in the justice way you described, but more in contractual agreement in that he'll do what he'll follow the rules that he has agreed to on contract. If he agreed to a contract that is... downright dirty... so be it. =P So justice isn't really something he stands for. Jugan might be more like that though, as naive and young as he is.

s'up to the rest of you, really.

Jhen, Raltz and Kole don't get to express preferences any more than they did before we parted ways, but Elsa, Ark and Bello can totally decide what arrangements they'd like.

Arden is going on record and saying she will pay for a Single Room though.

That's 20 gil out of my pocket!

On this note, Ark will sleep on the floor of someone's room. Not paying gil for luxuries like a comfortable bed. =P Plus, there is that entire weight issue that he has, especially wearing heavy armor, which probably doesn't smell like roses.

>_> Jugan might whine and complain a little though. Might be funny if it tried to sneak into the bed at someone's foot or something. Would be funny if one of the female members try to sneak off with it into the bed like some psuedo teddy bear. Not saying to do it, but the idea is there. :3

Lousy stupid group one arriving first and making me look like a copycat.

Overcast 12-23-2010 04:09 PM

We could still leave early. If anyone shows up that is.

Teal Mage 12-23-2010 04:52 PM

So, I think the next thing on Group 1's agenda is either:
  1. Timeskip to Maris tomorrow and start the wonderful Mission in earnest.
  2. Timeskip to Elsa and Ark meeting the Chocobo Haggling group while Bello and Arden have a wonderful time in the ambigiously described Inn.
  3. Timeskip so the entire group can have a wonderful time in the ambigiously described Inn.
  4. Timeskip to the evening so the entire group can be attacked by a Clandestine Organization in their rooms of the ambigiously described Inn, and still have a wonderful time.

I vote for Option 1, personally. Don't see a reason to drag this stay in Altair out any longer than we have - but Krylo's the GM, its his call ultimately.

But first, old business! We need to finalize Room Arrangements.

Right now, it sounds like people are pushing for:

Room 1 (Single): Kole, Ark, Bello
Room 2 (Double): Elsa, Raltz, Jhennek
Room 3 (Single): Arden

That's 90 gil in total, which is actually cheaper than if we upgraded Kole, Bello and Ark to a Double Room and stuck Arden/Raltz in there with 'im. Cost would be 17 gil from Bello, Elsa and Ark's pockets and Arden (insisting on buying an extra room) would cover the remaining 39 gil.

Any one got a problem with that?

Obviously, the Tarut get to sleep in drawers.

HA! ^^

Anyhow, I'm still waiting for a response from Krylo to my questions which may or may not effect whether I decide to spent some of my gil on antidotes so we don't end up doomed to die if one of us get poisoned and none of us has one.
