Bamboozled!
Crazy Man: I work on attosecond spectroscopy. How cool is that? You can't make lasers that small
SMB: Attoseconds are small but not like supersmall. Gary Coleman not hte smurfs CM: There are more attoseconds in a single second than seconds in the history of the universe. SMB: BAMBOOZLED! |
I'm not entirely certain how small an atto- is, but sure Crazy Man IS out of his mind.
Unless he's one of those people who believe the Earth was created at the year 0. (And even then it's stupid-talk depending on how small an atto- is.) |

Attoseconds in a second: 1×10^18 (A billion billion) 1,000,000,000,000,000,000
VS. Seconds in the universes history: 4.32×10^17 seconds 432,000,000,000,000,000 |
The plot thickens
Crazy Man: Look the sun is about to set
SMB: Not for a while yet Crazy Man: No, because of light bending in the atmosphere the "setting sun" has already set. The bending is coincidentely the width of the sun itself so when the botom of the sun first appears to hit the horizon the sun has already set in actuality. SMB: BAMBOOZLED! |

Aren't we onto femtosecond spectroscopy yet? Crazy Man is so behind the times.
