Ouch, meh everyone's a critic.

The stories may suck but so long as I got one fan.

I can live with that. Cause there be no point in doing a free web comic based off of real life like 90% of everyone else on the net if I was bored the whole way through.

Me I'll stick with what what's fun to do imo. Good old fantasy and sci-fi.

This is a terrible reason to stay in your rut. You're basing your direction in art and storytelling on the opinions of people with low standards.

Not going to kill.myself over trying to fix what's pretty much not well liked to begin with.

Besides I'm not going to rush myself towards trying to get out something different asap. Especially when I'm not going to gain anything from trying impress you guys.

Different stuff will come when it does. If you don't like what I'm doing for whatever reasons you may have. You don't have to look at it muchless view this thread.

Seriously, what do you have against improving?

If you don't want to get better, why bother at all? Especially if it's a project you want to make professional. I legitimately don't understand. I'm not trying to be snarky, or mean, or rude, I just genuinely do not get it.

Hey, I'm with Kyanbu on this. Artists should follow their own hearts, not the nitpicking of the masses.

Who knows? Maybe Kyanbu will be a 21st century VanGoh who only sells one piece of work in his life but becomes spectacularly famous and influential after his death.

Don't put ideas in his head!

Now he's gonna imagine himself as the future subject of a Doctor Who episode.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against improveing nor do I have any problems with branching out.

I just don't feel like its something I absolutely have to do this very second. I'll post something different and improve when I get to it or feel the need to do it on my own. Till then there probably won't be much activity here or on my DA page beyond requests and commissions.

Speaking of different, been thinking of doing some tales of graces f fanart. Probably won't be anything more then some lineworks and Flatcolors though.

You never will. You're going to stew in mediocrity unless you actively try to change your attitude. And you can't just say "oh well I don't feel like changing my attitude today" because that attitude is the problem. You are terrified of challenging yourself. You're not not going to hit some magic day where all of a sudden you feel like getting better, because that anxiety is always going to be there. You aren't going to improve until you are actively trying to overcome the fact that you don't feel like it.

The fact that Mookie can pay his bills means at least a few people like that crap.

It somehow defies logic and works for Michael Terracciano.

He's a nice guy and everything, but his art is terrible and hasn't changed beyond a few minor details since DD was launched in 2001 or whatever. And his writing is arguably worse.
