He's a nice guy and everything, but his art is terrible and hasn't changed beyond a few minor details since DD was launched in 2001 or whatever. And his writing is arguably worse.

I was just going to mention that.

Also Kyanbu, do whatever you want, you don't owe it to anyone to improve or to make anything that would appeal to anyone else. But don't complain when you are doing the exact same thing three years from now that you were doing three years ago.

Maybe try to explore different art medias? I mean, at some point, I got tired of beading and wanted to expand a bit to different things. I taught myself how to crochet just for the hell of it by watching youtube video tutorials. I can't say that it was easy; my first couple of attempts ended up in the garbage (so were some of my first beadsprites). As for sculptures, I just winged it and found out I loved it. However, I could argue that most of my work is just a copy of an idea that already exists, so I'm not really creating anything new, contrary to what you're doing, which is original.

I'm not much of a writer, nor am I particularly good at drawing, but the reason I know these things is because I tried them many times in the past, to no avail. You never know, you might yourself a new passion by trying new medias, and subsequently, new ideas and new projects.

That Bobbey can write that your stuff is original without expecting me to make a big deal out of it is the greatest argument that I can think of for you continuing to draw for drawing's sake.
