For FF in general? Ramza in FFT. Master White and black magic, and give him the the following ability sets:

-Black Magic
-White Magic
-Equip Sword
-Counter Magic
-Move-MP up

^A Handy Red Mage

But for the movies?

I assumed your favorite was kuro. Why else whould you have set your name the way you did.

But I dont reallly have a favorite for FFF. I am, however, gaurentieed to be your local FFT expert. I have spent days thinking up killer obsucre combos. care to hear a few?

sure why not. I was always bad at fft. I have a question though...

when ever I make some one a black mage, there magic attacks are weak as hell. That goes with all my mages and summiner. Why?

It's has two factors. First, Magi can only use rods and staffs. Their attack power is pretty low as a result. Also, most Offensive job classes get a power bonus. Magi get a magic and MP bonus instead. Hence "Equip Sword" for a boosted attack. Another good combo:

-Punch Art
-Throw
-Two Sword
-MP attack (Dmg is dealt to MP instead of HP)
-Move-MP up
^A great Monk, with a powerful double attack, and a little combo I like to call the "MP shield"
