Guys, let's NOT turn this into a flame war!

meanwhile.........I've noticed that when it comes to their kids, parents (in a family where they don't regularly beat up their kids) tend to feel two emotions regarding their child's activities; love and fear. They love their kid, so they're afraid for him/her, and unfortunately those two emotions never seem to mix well..........both sides of this argument are right, parents won't understand their kids, and kids won't understand their parents.

I never said I didn't appreciate how good my parents are to me, if you're going to use a qoute, use it in context. I said that my parents sucked in this case, anyother time they are actually preety cool.

EDIT: I meant for this thread to give all of you a laugh, not to be called names or for my parents to be called them. I knew I had it coming though, which is why I made that statement, and at the time I was pretty mad at them for this and a few other things. Anyway my parents have just forged my signature to put me on a goddamn old whaling boat for four days. WITH NORMAL PEOPLE. At the end of four days surrounded by miles of water I will kill them or myself. And please note that the first person to comment that it is a good opportunity to meet new people, expand my horizens etc. keep your mouth shut or I will shove a banana phone down your throat. This does not apply to the second person on account of I only have one banana phone with me. I have done this sort of thing with the being social before and all it has made me want to do is kill someone.

this is a perfect example of good intentions gone awry. you poor kid, hopefully time will pass quickly, and you'll be able to smuggle a game boy or something with you. though i have to say, I spent alot of my childhood being forced to do stuff or go places I didn't want to, and as an adult no one is forcing me but I still end up doing alot of shit I don't wanna do. It's just how things are sometimes, but four days on a boat? I'd go nuts. I'll pray for you.

maybe you can jump out of the boat and pretend to drown, then swim back to land and claim you were rescued by mermaids?

The other reason that the boat idea sucks is this:
