Thanks for sharing that link. Some of the stuff I found neat. (I really like the change in Geomancer) and some of the stuff I didn't like much.
However, I would prefer we didn't play using those rules unless we all wiped out or something. EDIT: Krylo, do I have to be using Awareness on all the zombies to make sure none of them are wearing the necklace which is part of our objective? Such as the secretary? Just want to clarify because I don't want you telling me that I didn't make any attempt at awareness checks on the way out, especially when we presumably defeat the administrator or any other high level zombies that might have them. |
You don't have to, no.
Also, why check the secretary? You're looking for a man. |
^^ Just because the stable master last knew the necklace belonged to a man doesn't mean the current owner is a man. For all anyone knows, it was lost, stolen, given away as a gift to a girlfriend or something like that. Or something bizzare like a sex change.

And has only been gone, like, a week at most. Also, Combo Magic is go! Now let's split into smaller groups! |

Not the least of which is the fact that things like charisimagic (and plenty of other job abilities) change the way you would build a class, WHICH means that I'd have to let you all respec, WHICH could take weeks of downtime for no real good reason. Edit: Also I'm going to leave group two for a bit longer. You guys and your plans always taking longer than the day to post. |
Yeah. We've been discussing it on the pad, and I believe Teal has been taking notes. Basically, our conclusion was 'the good stuff ain't worth the bad stuff'.
Though making hypothetical level-30 freelancers is fun. I've got one with 28 stealth, 53 evasion and nothing but INT. Menarker has one with about 300 ARM and MARM and 2000 HP, or something along those lines. Edit: Though one thing I'd draw attention to is that, in the expanded version, characters are a lot more survivable. In this one, a Red Mage with 12 VIT will have 80 HP by level 10. Even considering armor, there are spells and attacks that deal that much damage easily. So, once we start reaching the higher levels (or, honestly, anything above level 10), the game will probably get really offensive, since our best chance of survival will be murdering the enemy ASAP. That goes for bosses in particular. The other version leaves damage pretty much as it is, but raises armor and HP all round. Bit slower, but more survivability for everyone. |
Krylo:
Is it possible to say, reduce poison duration with a good heal check? Does this put Vera in short range of Fie? Is it possible to cast a half-power cure with what I have left, at perhaps some kind of risk? |
It should be noted that Vera has like two potions left and I think Jade also has a potion.
|
Unless we're assuming that the group that hates each other had a pre-fight pow-wow, it should be noted that Fie does not know this.

Blar. I wrote up a whole post during my lunch break, only to discover I was attacking an enemy that was already defeated. Crap. Guess I'lll rewrite something later.
