LA Noire

Watch this trailer.

So I wasn't interested in this game at all. But then I saw that trailer. In regards to the body language of the characters, ESPECIALLY their faces:

Adios uncanny valley! We'll come back to visit sometime!

Wow. I am genuinely excited for this game now.

I thought this game was bad intill i found that The devolopers put a Slow mo version of a previous tralor out on the internet. The faces are Fantastic (although the Animators have nothing to do with that) Finally seeing game play just makes me want to Buy it more. I always loved the 45 to 50s period and the general feel of noire

also thanks to my brother I can read faces really well so the game should be a breeze.

Can't view the trailer due to firewalls but I am assuming based on no evidence that this will be LA Confidential the videogame which would basically be pretty rad although I'm not sure how they can work in "bang Russel Crowe's hooker girlfriend and then he beats the shit out of you" as a functioning game mechanic.

Heres a Youtube fifth

It did seem pretty awesome.

You should check the trailer when you're away from the firewall shit. Or if you can do youtubes here it is.

Edit: Fucking ninja.

I don't know that this quite passes out of the uncanny valley yet, but it's certainly taking full strides to get out of it. It looks pretty impressive, but I'm most interested in finding out how well the crime solving mechanics work once the game starts getting played.

personally i think its going to be like Phenox Wright in a way. You investigate the area and try to find as many items as possible. as you come across people near or around the site you can question them on what they know call their bluffs and open up more options in interrogations which you use to make people confess. asking the right questions calling the right bluffs and using the correct evidence gets you closer to solving the crime correctly.

I doubt it, but I would get hours of enjoyment.

I hope you can manipulate evidence, and just frame the shit out of people.

Also I am wondering what Multiplayer will be like (if their is a multiplayer at all) will it be a mode with various crimes about where you have to compete to solve them and they are all somehow linked? will there be a free roam? Will there be a cops and robbers mode? or will there be a Murder thing where the murderer will have to leave clues and elude the detectives in a small area?

The facial dynamics are done is such a way that reading tells in expressions is going to be helpful to your criminal investigations

edit: which that trailer flat out states, derp.

Anyway, I am excited for this, Even more now that we have a nice look at some of the gameplay
