Yeah, there is something in the new client that is throwing things off a little for some people, the authentications aren't always making it through

Yes, I'm having the same problem. I think the only thing you can do is sit tight and wait for Notch to fix things up. The new lighting system looks amazing, though.

To-Do list to get things back up and runnin' like they should be.

- download new bukkit server
- install to a new directory (just to keep things clean)
- back up each world file (terra/arcanos/nether/creative)
- copy world files into new server directory
- move backup TARs to the backups directory
- run each of them as the main world under the updated server (don't have to do this again with terra I guess)
- reinstall permissions
- work out how multiworld permissions work
- reinstall General
- test /spawn
- test /give
- reinstall Multiverse
- see if old config files can be copied over
- if not, reimport worlds, recreate portals
- probably other shit I'm not thinking of
- last thing: delete old server folder

Gonna have to take the server down for 30 minutes / an hour to get things done, probably tomorrow at like 8/9ish, maybe further tweaking after that requiring this or that restart.

Oh yeah, since the /sethome command will be unreasonable in non-creative worlds (being able to warp out of the death traps), will there a way for us to set our individual spawn points?

If not then an eventual Op-made minecart system would be nice.

The plan is to have beds work like that in the future. For now, though, we'll have to find something else. At this point, the minecart system may be best.

And that's a bad thing?

He's referring to the "no you can't bring an inventory of fire blocks out of Creative world" deathtraps discussed earlier. So yes, that would be a bad thing.

I thought he was talking the types that others have built up.
