Spent a lot of time screwing around with the updated Bukkit.

It looks like the permissions plugin I was counting on to get multiworld permissions enabled got released half-finished and then the author pulled some kind of epic flounce due to SRS DRAMMAZ on the bukkit plugin developers forum. So at this point the prospect of plugging creative into the multiverse is being downgraded to PIPE DREAM.

Standard unmodded world continues to be up since I used up all the time I had for server shit this evening trying to get the aforementioned broken plugin to work. Gonna have to spend some more time I guess figuring out which plugins currently are/aren't working before things are back how they ought to be.

Hmm, now it's throwing the "can't connect to minecraft.net" error at me too.

I've been looking into world seeds because man I want an awesome single player map.

The general consensus on the minecraft forums is that entering "gargamel" in the seed input creates the most awesome map ever. This place is literally shitting out cliffs and mountains and what I'm trying to say is that fifth should generate this world and add it to the bukkit worlds once bukkit gets back up.

When you make a new single player map there's now text input boxes for the name of the map and an optional one for the world generation seed.

Oh, and apperentally one does not need a mod to enable Whitelisting now, according to Notch.

And it looks like there's another forest fire out in the boonies.

Looking at that rectangular bit in the lower right, looks like we have another situation where a spawning surface lava lake set off a forest fire. That was what nearly shut down Nesscraft back in the NPFburg days.
