When bukkit gets back up, can we have a world where murder is legal? You could encourage people to go there by either planting extra resources in the ground or finding a map seed with a high ore concentration.

And monsters should be on in that world because I want to see a creeper attack two people who are fighting to the death.

Ugh... no... just no. That's just ASKING for griefing.

Nah, I think by going to a place where PvP is permitted you're pretty much giving everyone permission to attack you. I kind of think that pulls it out of griefing territory since you could just leave to not have to deal with it.

That's why they're drawing a line between PvP possible and PvP permitted. Right now if someone kills you, they're a massive asshole, whereas in one where PvP is permitted it would be acceptable. I personally would never GO there, but I see no problem with the idea.

My feeling is if two people wanna have a mutually agreed upon battle to the death I got no problems with that. And if people aren't mutually agreeable to battling to the death then people shouldn't be battling at them!

The only thing that's keeping me from stopping my stone production to make arrows is this "politeness" thing we have going on in the server. Maybe I'll find a free-for-all deathmatch server in case I ever need to stab something that can talk back.

Yeah, it just really isn't a good idea to go anywhere with pvp beyond agreed arena fights or the like mainly because of escalation. For example, if you just rolled up on me out of nowhere while I was minding my own business and killed me, I would just wait until you logged out and turn everything you had into a crater.

That just isn't fun
