Episode 5: Life is Ruff

Well then, since I got the ID Card from the demon's corpse, I suppose it's time to go to the Echo Building, which previously was inaccessible. Kerberos is an alternate, less common translation of the Greek creature Cerberus. He's a three-headed dog who guards the gates of Hades (the Greek underworld). Though, here, he looks more like a lion than a dog. As you may see, he is way beyond my level, and he's the one exception to the "having a demon higher leveled than you" rule. It's only two floors long. It tends to stay invisible, but it can take the form of an animal, fire, a human being, or a mundane object. The dungeon is pathetically easy with Kerberos. He one-shots even the strongest enemy there. And boy, it is a bigass area, with random encounters every few steps. Why do we have to do your dirty work? Fucking NPCs I swear Now then, as I wander around I notice a message "Your magnecite has run out!" I didn't notice, but every few steps you walk, you lose some of your magnetite. When all your magnetite is gone, your demons start to lose 1HP per every step you take in a dungeon. This is obviously quite a problem, and I really shouldn't attempt to go any further without my demons. In addition, I need to upgrade my equipment, and get stronger demons. And so, that begins the first major period of grinding in this game.
