Is there any option for those of us who aren't bilingual?
|
Er, if you speak English, which I guess you do since you just posted something in English on an English-speaking (for the most part) message board, you should be good to go with an English translation, of which there are at least four.
Unless you want to be all legit about it, then, yeah, all you have on the internet is the Nico Nico broadcast in Japango. Guess that won't work for you? |
What can I say? What can I even say? Prologue is gonna happen, Jesus butts.

HOLY FUCKBUCKETS
Episode nine is just... Not only are they unable to save Sayaka, but ANOTHER character dies, and Kyubei continues to be the evilest motherfucker in the whole show. This Witch's Labyrinth kicked all the ass though. |
Hey guys.
Guys. Guys. Check this out, guys. So, like Sayaka's labyrinth was made of music and train tracks. Music's a given, what with her wish and all, but why the tracks? It's 'cause the labyrinth is a mixture of the former magical girl's wish and the murder that turned her into a witch. Gertrude's scissors? You better believe she cut somebody. Elly made one last trip out of her room to murder somebody at an amusement park. You can see why this is fun, yes? |
This show.
This. Fucking. Show. What do you have me watching? |
This show is strange. Like the writers of Evangelion tried to do a take on Kobato. It seems so outwardly cute and adorable, but gives the constant feeling like there is some dark morbid whatthefuckery lurking right outside of your peripheral vision where you can just barely almost see it.
Also that cat is like fucking satan. It shouldn't be allowed to be so cute. It basically steal's people's souls in exchange for granting one wish, giving them a death sentence or oftentimes turning them into something no better than the monsters they're condemned to hunt. WHAT THE FUCK. |
This show is quite literally the deconstruction of the magical girl that TTGL was for the mecha genre.
Where your normal magical girl anime is bright and happy and cute, all of the things that are bright and happy and cute are tinged with malice and darkness. It's like watching a show about the uncanny valley. Everything seems... off somehow. |

I'd be lying if I said those Labyrinth sequences didn't have just a tiny bit of that Cthulhu Fhtagn feeling to them. |
I've been waiting all weekend to finish this.
It's funny to me. |
