The ones where dark things lurk just outside the realm of Man. Things that show us how wrong we are when we arrogantly assume we are the dominant species. Things that crawl up from the dark places and show us just how insignificant, how infantile we really are.

Love the sci-fi settings. I guess that comes from books and not just games. I always find sci-fi more impressive. So I likes me my Mass Effect and StarCraft over Dragon Age and WarCraft.

Second is probably modern day, if only because I do not see it much. Fantasy rolls in third I guess.
