And then subsequently made passionate love to by the psychiatrist because goddamn that is smooth.

Pfft. Set up a chocolate fondue. Keep chilled strawberries and cream puffs on hand.
Works every time. Also, take a break in the middle of the study. Suggest watching a movie. Cruel Intentions is one of those dramas with just enough intrigue and stuff to set the mood. |
Cocktail sausages obviously.

Dude, you're over thinking this
...And trust me, don't do that. ...Just trust me.liks You could totally make something. And that would make you seem like a chef. But you also seem someone trying too hard. Try ordering a pizza and hanging out with her instead. Being all like "Hey, let's go see a movie later" is a bonus. Be like "Hey, I'm a cool guy when I'm not thinking about anything but hanging out with you 'cause you're a really cool chick" is neat, too. |

I dunno about actual not-sugar-filled stuff, but I've got an idea for a dessert-ish snack: Make caramel nut pretzels. They're easy, quick, and delicious.
What you need: -Bag of mini pretzel squares. I guess normal mini-pretzels might work, but squares are easier to deal with because they hold the caramel better. -Bag of caramel squares. You know, the kind you can buy at a grocery store for making caramel apples and such. -About 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and/or white chocolate chips. For topping! -Pecan halves or walnuts, shelled. -Cookie sheet and foil. -Sandwich baggies or freezer bags. What you do: Preheat the oven to 250*F. Put foil on the cookie sheet and lay out however many pretzels you want in a single layer. Next, get out your caramels and chop them in half, horizontally (Like a hamburger bun, so you have a top half square and a bottom half square). Lay one of the caramel halves on each of your pretzels. Now toss it in the oven for 6-8 minutes, until the caramels start to get soft. Take the cookie sheet out of the oven and lightly press a walnut or pecan into the center of each caramel. As the caramel is cooling, you might want to twist each pretzel slightly so the caramel doesn't stick to the tin foil. Okay, here's the slightly tricky part. Put your chocolate chips into a freezer bag or sandwich bag. (Obviously, use two separate bags if you're using both chocolate and white chocolate chips.) Seal the bag, and microwave on high for 30-50 seconds. MAKE SURE TO OPEN THE MICROWAVE AND CHECK THE BAGS EVERY 15 SECONDS. You don't want to accidentally melt the bag or let the chocolate burn. Once the chocolate is melted, cut a small tip from the bottom corner of the bag(s). (Keyword is "small.") Tadaaa! You now have a super-advanced pastry-decorating device! Now you can use the bag to drizzle stripes of chocolate on the caramel-pretzels. It looks fancy. Now all you have to do is let the pretzels cool until the chocolate sets up, move them to a nice plate (check to make sure there's no foil stuck to them!) and enjoy! They're basically like an unholy union between a chocolate turtle and a Snickers bar. They're really addictive. |
I'm inclined to agree with Seil...wow, I actually said it.
ANYWAY, he's right don't try so hard. You're into her, and she's willing to study alone with you so chances are she's into you at least mildly; so there's no need for some big effort yet, it'd probably be more creepy than helpful. Ask her if she wants to head out for lunch/dinner/drinks (depending on the time) after the exam. The study break for a movie or something is a great idea. It's always been best for me to be low key and not take things to the "relationship" level too quickly, instead just ease into it at a pace that's comfortable for the both of you. Then for a 3rd date you can make Mauve's tasty snacks. |
But there is no kill like overkill.
First off, thank you all for being your awesome selves and giving me a laugh this morning.

Maybe later. :D I'm very much liking these snack ideas, I honestly had never considered such things. Pizza sure, one-step things like pretzels and the like, of course. But your ideas are wonderful! Quote:
I do like the idea of a study break, though. I just wonder if we're going to need that much time. Helpful hints duly noted! Thank you one and all! If I'm not back in 48 hours, you can find me in my room listening to sad songs. |
