Domino's Pizza Tracker

I am tracking my pizza's progress from prepwork through delivery right now.
I kind of find this awesome.

OHHH I forgot to add special instructions to see if they'd draw shit on my box.

Anyway, aside from orders that ship with tracking numbers (i.e. online shopping and junk), is there anything else that gives you this much notice about what's going on? It may be corny, but they even tell me the name of the person who prepped the pizza/made it and the driver on his way to my place. Sure, it's a big chain, but I am liking Domino's "new" attitude about service.

e: It also kind of motivates me to not have cash when I place an order again so I can use the website.

You know, the only thing our Domino's seems to get right is it's sammaches. Three times they've gotten our order wrong in the past.. so yeah. We don't order pizza from there anymore.

Pizza Hut on the other hand... The only time they screwed up an order, it was wings (They gave us the wrong type.), they actually went back, made up a fresh batch just for us, and let us keep both sets of wings, AND gave us our money back for that part of the order.

As Dominos is the only place near here that delivers at like 2 AM, I have also experienced the wonder of their online ordering service. It was greatly enjoyed.

It even asked how my delivery dude did after he arrived.

That's unfortunate -- for Domino's, I guess. Around here, the Pizza Hut is sub-par (actually that's been my experience most places). So was the Domino's until their more recent ad campaigns and all this hub-bub to make themselves seem better. I don't suspect the pizza ingredients are any better, but at least the one up here shaped up their quality.

We have a few local pizza places, but the ones that don't suck are more sit-down restaurant and don't have delivery.

Anyway if you haven't seen it check out their site if you ever order from them in the future. Part of me feels silly for thinking it, but this did seem like a way to make the simple and lazy process of ordering delivery more enjoyable and friendly.

Domino's Pizza has been pretty delicious since they changed the recipe/got better ingredients/whatever.

They still don't have stuffed crust pizzas(That's Pizza Hut's thing, still), but for every other type of pizza, I'd go with Domino's.

I heard they also don't want to use fake food models for advertising, but the actual pizzas they make. Something about encouraging people to send pics.

Seeing that Donomni had posted in the Domino's thread...

It just felt right for some reason.

Also, I've tried the new Domino's. They've certainly improved, but my friends tend to go with the "quantity over quality" stance and but from the Hut.

The 'Metal' Tracker Flavor is the Best.

Thin crust, pepperoni and hot sauce, dip in blue cheese.

You'll thank me.

There was actually a commercial awhile ago where they showed a few pizzas that were just destroyed in the box, and the CEO apologized on the commercial for it. I thought that was pretty cool, even though I know they're just doing it so that we'll react favorably.

Dominoes is better than the other pizza chains IMO, but I personally hold the pizza from the Costco food court as my favorite.

Sounds intreguing... but sadly we got a "No blue cheese family" rule due to allergies to the mold in it..

Won't stop me from trying it elsewhere though, once I get the money.

Domino's certainly is awesome. I do quite like the pizza tracker, although when I'm hungry I tend to just sit and stare at it, willing it to move faster...
