My Lufia 2 comic!

Yep. I'm making a webcomic about Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. WooHOO!!! (Marioshen was the one who said that he liked this game in the Chrono Trigger thread, right? Or was it shiney...)

Anyway... here's the link.

Tell me what ya think!

A couple of things
1) A suggest making the characters and text larger, sometimes I had to squint to read it.
2) Order the text better, most people read top to bottom, left to right, its okay to have text bubbles have to go across eachother (I think) as long as its clear who's saying what.
*Cough*Read my comic, link in sig. *cough* It will be updated whenever my computer lets me access the FTP *cough*

Your text boxes ae blurry for some reason, and the page background hurts my eyes.

Halerthorn 05-23-2004 01:16 PM

welll uhhhh.....
you used the original backround to the game...at least i think you did....

h4x.m4g3: Hey, it's my first comic. So, I'm expirementing to see what works best. Certain context clues should tell the reader who says what first. i.e. in Comic 5, I can't very well put Maxim's text up top without forcing the Jellies' text to the bottom, thereby making a BIG mess of things. Oh, and I don't think I'll read your comic if I don't know anything about it, save for the fact that updates are hard.

Hamelin: The text boxes are blurry because that's how Paint Shop Pro handles resizing. It explains why my avatar is how it is. As for the background hurting your eyes: If it's supposed to mean that it sucks, then I'm not, well, feeling anything from it. I guess I'm just immune to that weak a flame/insult. If it's supposed to mean what it says, I suggest making the Brightness level on your monitor lower, that should help. Also, keep a light on, it works wonders.

Halerthorn: Yes, I did. Until I can be better inspired to think up and find photo-esque backgrounds, the game background will simply have to stick.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

EDIT: Hamelin: Oh, you mean the WEBSITE background, don't you? If it's the front page you're complaining about, I find it annoying, too. I'm planning on changing it as soon as I stop being so damn lazy. If it's the background in general, I can only change it to green or I think red. All of them are dark, though, so it probably wouldn't help much, unless you got a thing against blue.

I use RCR for my comic and it works great.

Loyal 05-23-2004 01:52 PM

What's RCR? Is it an image program or format?

Halerthorn 05-23-2004 03:57 PM

River City Ransom. its a game.
I use the backrounds from it for my comics.

Hamelin 05-23-2004 04:18 PM

I wasn't flaming, or being sarcastic. There are ways to stop paint shop pro from making your images blurry, I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with turning off 'anti-aliasing'.

those words of wisdom would be great if he was still online.
