So, out of a penny arcade link i find a Petition (from someone else) asking the writer of Dragon Age 2 to be fired for writing gay Stereotypes in the game.

Now, ok, i would -not- be surprised if a lot of those are Troll Petitions for giggles and shitz... most likely quite a few are. Then again, sometimes i see this...

Or maybe just another fine example of how people with internet connections can be aimless dicks and/or stupid.

I was going to start a petition asking people to end petitions just to be ironic and lulzy, but I changed my mind because I didn't feel like coming up with a 20,000 character description.

Given the non-English and general stupidity present in the petition that "tickled your fancy", I'm surprised that you were surprised.

Also, I don't think people on the internet being stupid jackasses has been a thing for a while.

Wow, I never thought online petitions ever accomplished anything, but that line still managed to destroy my faith in online petitions.

Also yeah sometimes people will kiss you and risk a slap in the face to find out if you're attracted to them. I don't think that's unique to straight people.

Honestly there really, really aren't any gay stereotypes in DA2. All of the vanilla love interests are bi and the DLC guy is straight. For that matter, of the four standard love interests, one male and one female will proposition you regardless of gender, while the other two you'll have to work at regardless of gender. Anders, easily one of the best characters of the series, is just as "friendly" with Hawke either sex, and despite an awkward lack of a friendship option in response to his initial pass, if you take the "It's... unexpected" option (at least for a guy) and then change the subject, he takes the hint and you let him down easy. For that matter, the only real issue is the lack of an immediate friendship option. The guy is honest, but subtle and respectful about it, and he's very sincere. If ever put in a similarly awkward position, he's pretty much the type I'd hope I was dealing with.

Yeah, 90% of petitions are retarded. Also, there's no need to worry, because petitions as a whole pretty much never accomplish anything unless they're governmental, so yeah.

Considering the comments the user who made the petition got for his petition, I don't think it'll be going anywhere. He's been given the verbal smack down pretty good.
