Could BM be a half-elf?
 

This is just a something i have been wondering, could BM be a half-elf.
These are my reasons:

1) BM hates elves, maybe because he is part elf.

2)Remember when the characters were dressed up in the elf kingdom? The one elf said that BM looked cute. Could that elf, having vision that can get through shadows, have seen BM and liked him because he is half-elf and not thief because he is fully elf.

3) He dosnt have "Elven Superiority" because if he were half-elf, he would be
part inferior, and part superior, so the two cancel each other out.

4) This evidence may not be as good, but he has the same skin-tone as thief, but so does BB, so that may not be a good reason.

5) The Black Wizard class has a face that can be seen, and he looks elven.

6) He also hates Dwarves.

Naw...why would he hate elves because he is one. Also I think BMs and WMs are born into what they are. Besides elves love nature and BM would nuke anything moving or nuke, especially if it was alive.

If he were half-elf, his human side would be the sorce of his destructive nature.

BM is BM there is no way around it. he is a Black Mage, which I think is a race all its own because a you can always find a Black Mage couple and in the other thread about guest comic #2 people said that for WM to get hooked up with BM is if she turned into a BM. so therefore you can be born a BM(race) or be turned into one(half). so he is not a halfling.

could be............but the half-elf theory is interesting since it would explain why he hates elves (maybe his elven father abandoned his human mother?). He could have an inferiority complex because of that, which makes him even MORE evil.............but then again, this is all doubtful...........I still think Black Mages could be their own race, though.........

According to FF9, Black Mages are indeed a race unto themselves. A sterile race doomed to extinction, unless some of the ones we see at the end are female. And according to 5, tactics, and I think one or two others, Black Mage is just a job description, to be swapped into or out of at will. FF1 has no data on this one way or another, but I've thought of it just as the job they've chosen.

He hates everything but evil, pie, himself, Thief (A little) and WM.

Why would Onion Kid freak out by seeing a half-elf's face? If the elves saw through his 'shadow', they would have the same results. And why would an elf think the half elf is 'cute', but not the full elf?

... It's either elven superiority, or none. His 'inferiority' isn't canceled out even if he was a half elf, because he isn't an elf.
So? Elves don't all have the same skin color.

How can you even tell an 8-Bit thing is elven or not unless it has the ears?

Also, bm_girl, that is just what some person made up. It holds no consistency or has evidence. If WM and BM 'hoooked up', WM would still be a WM unless she switched what magic she uses, and the kid would be either all human, or half-human half-whatever BM is.

Lastly, in FF9, BMs weren't really a race. They were just dolls. I wouldn't really call something manufactored a race.

I just realized............Black Wizard kinda does have elfy-looking ears.........oh no.................I don't wanna be a tree-hugging elf!!

Elves aren't tree hugger woosies! Elves kick arse! Look at Legolas! He toppled that Elephant-whatever with four arrows! Or was it five? Can't remember. Heh... I love LOTR...

BM a half-elf... Yeah, I'd pretty much half to go with... we don't know. Could be, couldn't be.

And he does hate everything except Pie, WM, Theif (a little), and himself. And he loves nuking things. Even if they aren't moving. :p

But the Black Wizard does have elfy looking ears... :eek: Maybe...

It would be nice if BM and WM got together... they'd be such a cute couple... and maybe BM would stop killing things, since he has achived the highest happiness.

Naw. Killing things is BM's passion. :D He just wouldn't be BM anymore if he stopped. :)
