Doom! Doom to you all!

I was just wondering if there were any other Invader Zim fans here besides me. Yea, so, who likes it? And does anyone know why it got cancelled?

I picked up the first DVD collection on a whim a couple of weeks ago, and I greatly enjoyed it. I'm not sure exactly why it got cancelled, but it doesn't surprise me looking at the content and remembering that Nickelodeon carried it.

yea sucks it was cancelled, though I hear that Nick toon channel (something like that) still has it on. The show was rather adult, at times disturbing

This is so six months ago.

Nickelodeon has never been good at having shows that catered to a slightly older age then what most of their shows appeal to. Zim went the way of Pete and Pete, Rocko's Modern Life, Clarissa explains it all, and all those shows.

Clarissa Explains It All was a terrible show. She did nothing but talk to a wall for half an hour. Pete&Pete rocked the house.

I need to borrow (read: steal) the episodes from my friends. GIR is the best, though. "I had a sammich in my head!"

Yea, the DVD is pretty good. And I agree, it was kind of aimed towards an older audience... more in place at Adult Swim than Nickelodeon.

MOOSEY FATE!!!!!!! To avoid spamming, I heard from this kid that it was because the guy who wrote it wanted to make Invader Zim a more adult show, when he was turned down he left Nickelodeon and took his show with him.....

I wouldn't be surprised if that is what Vasquez-san really did. In a sortof unrelated not, Zim was tame compared to his other works such as JTHM and Squee.

I have very recently gotten an episode of Invader Zim and watched it. I thought it was funny, but there was no one thing I could put my finger on that was funnier then the rest. It was just a fun show that made me laugh, and I've taken a liking to it and I'm looking for more episodes now.
